Educational Qualification : Any Post Graduate, PG Diploma
Other Qualifications :
1. Essential Qualification: Post Graduate or a diploma in sciences or mathematics with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or an equivalent qualification. Knowledge of Koha (or alternative like Libsys etc.)
2. Desirable qualification: Candidate should be willing to learn and adapt to new paradigms. Experience in using Linux operating system is preferred. Candidates with a degree in library sciences (B.Li.Sc. / M.Li.Sc.) would be preferred.
3. Job Profile: Job profile includes developing and managing collections of books and journals (both paper and electronic), as well as websites; creating, updating and managing electronic and printed information resources; selecting, acquiring and cataloguing information using library and information software; keeping up to date with relevant professional developments in the library science sector and allied works; establishing and maintaining effective working relationship with academic staff and students; dealing with budgets and purchasing resources; handling external businesses, such as suppliers; managing library furniture and equipment.
Age :
28 years (as on 1.4 .2018), may be relaxed based on higher qualifications and/or experience.
