6. Essential Educational Qualification & Experience: 

a) SSC/10th standard with Science subjects with 55% marks plus ITI certificate or national /state trade certificate or 2 years full time experience as an apprentice training from a recognized institute in the trade of Computer Operator and Programming Assistant.

b) SSC/10th standard with science subjects with 55% marks plus ITI certificate or national/ state trade certificate or 2 years full time experience as an apprentice training from a recognized institution in the trade of Electrician.

c) SSC/10th standard with science subjects with 55% marks plus ITI certificate or national/ state trade certificate or 2 years full time experience as an apprentice training from a recognized institution in the trade of Desk Top Publishing Operator.

d) SSC/10th standard with science subjects with 55% marks plus ITI certificate or national/ state trade certificate or 2 years full time experience as an apprentice training from a recognized institution in the trade of Library Assistant/Library and Information Science.

e) SSC/10th standard with Science subject with 55% marks plus ITI certificate or National/State Trade certificate or 2 years full time experience as an apprentice training in the trade of Electrician / Electronics Mechanic from recognized institute.

7. Desirable Qualification and Experience: 

a) The candidate should have excellent communication skills, proficiency in computer operations.

b) ITI certificate or national/ state trade certificate in Electrician trade and full time working experience of 2-3 years with the medium/big size organization (private/government) in the Electrical repairing, wiring and maintenance of equipment and also knowledge of related activities.

c) Minimum 1 year in experience handling recognized office in public or private sector.

d) Diploma/Degree in Library and Information Science. Preference will be given to the candidate with minimum of 2 years of working experience in big research library with working knowledge of day-to-day functioning of the research library.

e) Diploma/ Degree in Electrical Engineering/ Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and Prior knowledge of operating Public Address System / Video Conferencing system.

f) Computer Sciences from a recognized institute (duration: Minimum 2 years). MS-Office (Power point, excel, word)

g) Preference will be given to candidates with minimum two years of working experience in analytical instruments laboratory/catalytic reactors and having good understanding about maintenance of analytical equipments and catalytic reactors

h) Preference will be given to the candidates having two years experience in management of nursery and landscape gardening, record keeping and field supervision of various garden sites, having knowledge of development and maintenance of lawns, rose cultivation, plantation of seasonal, indoor plants, plant propagation techniques etc.

i) Minimum 2 years fulltime experience in Welding as described below: Should have the knowledge and practical experience of all sorts of welding techniques, soldering and brazing etc. Should be able to carry out all types of activities of fabrication related welding works in mild steels, stainless steel & alloys and aluminum materials Should be aware of welding set up, operating and maintaining welding equipment.

j) Minimum 2 years fulltime experience in Welding as described below: Should have the knowledge and practical experience of all sorts of welding techniques, soldering and brazing etc. Should be able to carry out all types of activities of fabrication related welding works in mild steels, stainless steel & alloys and aluminum materials.Should be aware of welding set up, operating and maintaining welding equipment.

8. Job Specification: 

a) The candidate should have excellent communication skills, proficiency in computer operations.

b) Repairing, maintenance of laboratory equipment and electrical wiring in the research laboratory.

c) To do the routine quote and invoice preparation, maintaining the office data of culture supply, do the microbial data updates, receipt and dispatch of microbial cultures, attending the microbial related queries in the office.

d) To provide assistant in day to day functioning of library which include shelving of books, journals and other documents, processing of books and journals, photocopy facility, assistant in helping users to locate books, overall library hall management and any other day to day activities.

e) Operating Public Address System and Video Conferencing System, Multi-tasking.

f) Creating and updating of divisional data base and files of scientific and technical relevance, liaison with scientific and technical staff for day-to-day activities of the Division, upkeep of the office equipment, record files, managing purchase files of chemicals / equipment as per government norms while working in a group of scientific background

g) Maintenance of laboratory equipments, tackling electrical and electronic problems, fabrication of small parts for reactors as per the project requirement.

h) Maintenance of various garden records and supervision of field work.

i) To carry out day to day work of fabrication required for laboratory work and colony area, while carrying out all types of welding works in mild steels, stainless steel and aluminum materials.

Selection Procedure :

As per the latest CSIR Service Rules for the recruitment of technical staff, the mode of selection of these technical posts is follows:

1. Sr. Technical Officer (2) and Sr. Technical Officer (1) / Fire Safety Officer: The candidates as recommended by the duly constituted Screening Committee will be invited for personal interview. A duly constituted Selection Committee will interview the candidates to evaluate their suitability for the post.

2. Technical Officer, Technical Assistant and Technician (1): The candidates as recommended by the Screening Committee will be invited for a trade test. Those who qualify in the trade test will be invited for a competitive written examination. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the competitive written examination. A duly constituted the Selection Committee will conduct the trade test and the competitive written examination for the candidates to evaluate their suitability for the post.

6. In case of universities/institute awarding CGPA/SGPA/OGPA grades etc., candidates are requested to convert the same into percentage based on the formula as per their university/institute.

7. First time users need to register themselves by clicking on ' Register' tab. Candidate needs to supply his/her Email ID which will be used as a login id into the system. The activation link will be sent to that email id. After clicking that activation link, his/her account of NCL Recruitment Portal will be activated. Once it is activated, he/she may login and proceed for applying. Please note that candidate can apply for more than one post using a single login ID.

8. Once candidate logs in, he/she is required to select the post to apply and click ‘Fill Application’ against the post; he/she wishes to apply for. In case candidate has already logged in on a previous occasion and began the process of application, the top of the page will display the post/s for which he/she has already applied. Then he/she needs to click 'View’ link to proceed.

9. 10.
