4. Essential Educational Qualifications:
A) a) A Masters degree from any Indian University with 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale. wherever grading system is tbllowed. in concerned/relevant}allied subjects. or equivalent degree from any accredited foreign university. Relaxation of 5% marks will bc given to candidates Of Bihar State belonging to SC/ST/EBC-I (non creamy layer)/ BC-ll (non creamy layer) categories. and Physically challenged candidates from any part Of the Country at the Master's Degree level. But both benefits will not be admissible to the same candidate. A relaxation of 5% at the Master's Degree level shall be provided to the Ph.D. Degree holders who have obtained their Master's Degree prior to September 9, 1991.
b) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test(NET) conducted by the UGC or the C.S[R. or a similar test accredited by the UGC. like Sl or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D Degree in accordance with UJGC Regulations or 2016 and their amendments from time to time. as the case may . shall be exempted from NET/SLET/SET But regarding recognition Of SLET/SET the provision of UGC Regulation 2018 shall valid.
B) The Ph.D. Degree has been obtained from a foreign University/institution with a ranking among top 500 in the world University Ranking (at any time) by any one Of the following- (l) Quacquarelli Symonds The Times Higher Education (THE) or (iii) The Academic Ranking of World Universities (AR W U) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai) or (iv)US News World Ranking
C) A traditional or a professional artist with highly commendable professional achievement in the subject concerned having a bachelois degree. who
(i) Studied under a world/reputed traditional
(ii) Has been 'A' grade artist or AIR/Doordarshan:
(iii) Has the ability to explain . with logical reasoning , the subject Concerned: and
(iv) Has adequate knowledge to teach theory with illustrations in the discipline concerned.
Age: The age of the candidates for the post of Assistant Professor should not be more than 55 years on 01.01.2020

Selection Procedure :
100 marks will be allotted for Educational Qualifications and 15 marks for Interview. The Final Merit List will be prepared on the basis of addition of marks obtained on the basis of addition of marks obtained in Educational Qualification (Total Marks - 100) and Interview (Total Marks - 15), i.e out of 115 marks.
