Eligibility Criteria: Member (Judicial), State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission - A person who,
i) is a Citizen of India;
ii) is of not less than fofty years of age and possesses an experience of at least ten years as presiding officer of a district court or of any tribunal at equivalent level or combined service as such in the district court and tribunal.
iii)The applicant must have knowledge of Marathi language so as to enable him to speak, read, write in Marathi and translate from Marathi to English and vice versa
Member (Non- Judicial ), State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission - A person who,
i) is a Citizen of India;,
ii) is of not less than forty years of age ;
iii) possesses a bachelor's degree from a recognized university and is a person of ability, integrity and standing, and has special knowledge and professional experience of not less than twenty years in consumer affairs, law, public affairs, administration, economics,. commerce, industry, finance, management, engineering, technology, public health or medicine.
iv) The applicant must have knowledge'of Marathi language so as to enable him to speak, read, write in Marathi and translate from Marathi to English and vice versa.
Member, District Consumer Disputes Redressal Comrnission - A person who,
i) is a Citizen of India;
ii) is, not less than thirty-five years of age;
iii)possesses a bachelor's degree from arecognized University; and is a person of ability, integrity and standing, and having special knowledge and professional experience of not less than fifteen years in consumer affairs, law, public affairs, administration,' economics, commerce, industry, finance, managernent, engineering, technology, public health or medicine.
iv) The applicant must have knowledge of Marathi language so as to enable him to speak, read, write in Marathi and translate from Marathi to English and vice versa.

1) President, State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission - A person who,
i) is Citizen of India;
ii) is, or has been a Judge of High Court;
iii)The applicant must have knowledge of Marathi language so as to enable him to speak, read, write in Marathi and translate from Marathi to English and vice versa.
2) President, District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission - A person who,
i) is a Citizen of India;
ii) is or has been, or is qualified to be a District Judge
iii)The applicant must have knowledge of Marathi language so as to enable him to speak, read, write in Marathi and translate from Marathi to English and vice versa.
Documents Required
The applicant has to up-load self attested copies of following documents along with application
i) Documentary proof abogt Age, Nationality and domicile.
ii) Certification regarding Educational Quatifi cations.
iii) Certifrcate from District Judge/ Civil Judge, Junior Division/Principle Judge of the Court whichever is applicable (for practicing advocate)
iv) Copy of NOC from employer.
v) Reference Certificates.
vi) Recent photo.
vii) Any other relevant Certificate/s.
General Information
1. Communications in respect of the selection will be sent via e-mail only. Candidates qualified when called for viva-voce will have to appear before the Selection Committee. The Place of interview will be at Mumbai and date and time for interview shall be separately communicated at e-mail ID provided in application form. No traveling allowance or any expenses shall be claimed by the candidate called for viva-voce.
2. Applicants shall do well to go through the Notice herein as also relevant Statutory provisions and Rules thereunder, with regard to eligibility criteria etc.,before submitting the application for the post applied.
3. The applicants who are presently working in Judiciary shall submit their applications through proper channel.
4. Every appointment of a President or member shall be subject to submission of a certificate of physical fitness duly signed by a civil surgeon or District Medical Officer.
5. Before appointment, the selected candidate shall furnish an undertaking that he does not and will not have any such financial or other interest as is likely to affect prejudicially his functions as a President or member.
6. The selection for applied post shall be completely at the discretion of the Selection Committee and the applicant shall not raise any objection in this regard if not selected.
7.This further to be noted that Consumer Protection Act,20l9 is statute enacted to serve Consumers and Presiding Offrcers of Consumer commission have to undertake onerous task of rendering services to the Consumers as and by way of call of duty and sense of commitment and on acceptance of the posts, if and when selected, by the Candidates, they are expected to discharge their duties with the spirit of devotion and dedication to the Cause.
