Qualification Details:
Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Tirupati is a premier autonomous Institution established by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, for promotion of high quality science education and research in the country. The Institute has an active Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship (PDRF) Program to enable highly motivated young researchers to conduct research in the frontier areas of Science and Technology and inviting applications from Indian Nationals for the following position:

3. Research Area Computational Biology and/or Phase-separation in Biology
4. Minimum qualifications: Ph.D. degree in related areas. Candidates who have submitted their thesis and awaiting award of Ph.D degree may also apply. Candidates should provide evidence of having carried out high quality research during or after their Ph. D. program.
5. Fellowship:
a) Rs. 47,000/- p.m. + 8% HRA, if the candidate produces the Ph. D. Certificate.
b) Rs. 35,000/- p.m. + 8% HRA - for those candidates whose Ph. D. degree is awaited. However, the candidate must produce a letter from competent authority stating that the thesis has been submitted and the final viva/defence is pending. Nominal research grant will be available under this program.
6. Tenure: The position is temporary for a period of one year, with an extension for one more year after review of performance.
Age:
Not more than 35 years as on closing date of advertisement.
General Information :
1. The appointed person shall have no claim of appointment / absorption in IISER Tirupati.
2. The qualification prescribed should have been obtained from recognized Universities / Institutions.
3. The prescribed educational qualifications are the bare minimum and mere possession of same does not entitled candidates to be called for interview. Where number of applications received in response to this advertisement is large, it will not be convenient or possible to interview all the candidates. Based on the recommendations of the Screening Committee, the Project Leader may restrict the number of candidates for the interview to a reasonable limit after taking into consideration qualifications and experience over and above the minimum prescribed in the advertisement. Therefore, it will be in the interest of the candidates, to mention all the qualifications and experience in the relevant field at the time of applying.
4. No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing for the interview.
5. Selected candidate will have to join duty immediately on receipt of the offer.
6. No interim enquiries / correspondence / communication of any sort will be entertained on the matter.
7. Canvassing in any form and / or bringing any influence, political, or otherwise, will be treated as a disqualification for the post applied for.
8. Following selection to the IISER PDRF program, applications for competitive postdoctoral fellowships by the fellow may also be forwarded to DST-SERB or other agencies (DBTRA, CSIR-RA, ICMR etc.) through the Institute.
