THDCIL invites applications from bright result oriented, energetic and dynamic young Junior Engineer Trainees of Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh domicile with bright academic record to join the organization as Junior Engineer Trainee in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering & Information Technology (IT) Discipline:-

3. Essential Qualification: 3 Yrs Full Time Regular Diploma/ 02 years for Lateral Entry in relevant branch of Engineering recognized by respective State Board of Technical Education/ Examination and/ or State Departments/Directorates of Technical Education and All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) with minimum 65% marks for General/OBC(NCL)/EWS candidates and pass marks for SC/ST/PwD/ Ex-SM candidates. Rounding off Marks is not allowed.

5. Compensation Package: The organization offers attractive compensation package which is one of the best in the Industry. Selected candidates will be placed at minimum basic pay of Rs. 29,200/- in the pay scale of Rs. 29,200-3%- 1,19,000(IDA) as Jr. Engineer Trainee.

6. Offer of Appointment The offer of appointment shall be issued to the suitable candidates empanelled in the order of merit and based on the requirement. Appointment of selected candidates will be subject to their being found medically fit in the Pre-Employment Medical Examination to be conducted as per THDCIL Norms and Standards of Medical Fitness and document verification at the time of joining.

For General, OBC (NCL) and EWS Rs.600.00 (Rs. Six Hundred only), For SC/ST/PwD/ExServicemen/Departmental Candidates: No Application fee regardless of the post being reserved for them or not.

6. Only those OBC (NCL) candidates will be considered whose OBC (NCL) certificate is applicable for Central Government Job

7. Candidates belonging to OBC (NCL) category may also apply for the post Jr. Engineer Trainee (Electronics Engineering) from the State of Uttarakhand provided they meet the eligibility criteria prescribed for UR category

General Information and Instructions

1. Only Indian Nationals who have attained the prescribed age are eligible to apply.

2. Compulsory registration with Employment Exchange -All candidates including Apprentice covered under The Apprentice Act, 1961 should have a valid registration with any of the Employment Exchange in the respective State i.e. Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh as on the cutoff date for reckoning eligibility. (on or before date of submission online Application)

3. Before applying, the candidate should ensure that he/ she fulfill the eligibility criteria and other norms mentioned in this advertisement.

4. For the Un-Reserved (UR) vacancy and SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS/Ex-SM candidates can apply subject to meeting with all General Standards of Eligibility.

5. All eligibility qualification should be regular and recognized from a recognized Institution/ Board/ Council/ University. The minimum percentage of marks in qualifying diploma is 65% taking average of all Semesters/Years/subjects, irrespective of the weightage given to any particular semester/year/subject by the University/Institute. No rounding off of marks obtained shall be allowed.

6. Percentage of Marks obtained by the candidate in Diploma shall be calculated based on the practice followed by the University/Board/ Institution from where candidate has obtained the Diploma. Wherever CGPA/OGPA or letter grade is awarded; equivalent percentage of marks should be indicated in the online application form as per norms adopted by the University/ Institute. A certificate for conversion of Grades/CGPA to percentage of marks shall be based on the procedure certified by the University/Institution from where they have obtained Diploma and shall be sent while sending the downloaded application through post.. In case the University/Institution does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks the equivalence would be established by dividing the candidates CGPA by maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the result with 100.

7. Category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD/Ex-SM) once filled in application form will not be changed and no benefit of other category will be admissible later on.

8. Candidates with Two Years Diploma/ Sandwich Diploma Course/ Qualification acquired through Distance Learning Mode or Part Time Mode shall not be considered

9. Candidates who have acquired higher qualification in addition to three years diploma or are experienced are eligible to apply. However, no advantage in selection or in form of higher start/ Special Consideration shall be available to them.

10. Mere submission of application does not guarantee the adequacy of candidature for being considered for further Recruitment/Selection Process.

11. Management reserves the right to cancel/ restrict/ enlarge/ modify/ alter the recruitment/ selection process, if need so arises, without issuing any further notice or assigning any reason thereafter.

13. Candidature is liable to be rejected at any stage of recruitment process or after recruitment or joining, if any information provided by the candidate is not found in conformity with the criteria mentioned in the detailed advertisement or if any particulars indicated in the application/other forms/formats are not recognized / false / misleading and/or amounts to suppression of information/ particulars which should have been brought to the notice of THDCIL.

14. Computation of age shall be done on 01.03.2021. Date of issuance of final mark sheet shall be taken as the date of acquiring qualification.

15. Online Applications that are not in conformity with the requirements indicated in the advertisement, incomplete applications, without uploaded signature, without photograph/ application fee / necessary document proofs will be rejected.

16. Applications received after the last date of receipt of applications will neither be entertained nor returned.

17. Application fee shall not be refundable in any case.

18. Complaints attributable to the incompatibility of the Client Systems, Ignorance of users, nonavailability of internet connectivity or any other aspect beyond the direct control of THDCIL employees or systems will not be entertained.

19. Management reserves the right to raise or lower the qualifying standards in any stage of selection process depending on availability of sufficient number of candidates.

20. Candidates should ensure that the same Colour Passport size photograph (latest and not more than 3 months old) is used throughout the recruitment process.

21. Candidates working in Govt./PSU are required to produce “ No objection Certificate” at the time of document verification.

22. Candidates claiming reservation under OBC (NCL) should belong to OBC-Non Creamy Layer as on last date of online submission of application to THDCIL.

23. Candidates claiming reservation under EWS should belong to Economically Weaker Sections as on last date of online submission of application to THDCIL.

24.Any dispute arising in this connection will be subject to Jurisdiction of Dehradun (Uttarakhand) courts only.

25. There is no provision of re-processing/re-evaluation of the responses of the questions filled by candidates during online test. 

26. In case a candidate submits more than 01 application for the same post, the application against which Application fee is deposited shall only be considered. Further, if candidate deposit Application Fee for 02 applications for the same post, the application with latest registration no. shall be considered.

27. Canvassing or otherwise influencing the selection process will render the candidature invalid.

28. Candidates must possess the requisite qualification prescribed for the post on the last date of application.

29. Candidates selected in THDCIL are liable to be posted anywhere in India and Abroad.

30. No TA/DA shall be paid for appearing in written test.

Selection Procedure :

The selection process of candidates will be based on their performance in Written Test: Written Test (100% weight age)

1. Written Test shall be of objective Type of two hours duration consisting of two parts –

Part-I -Consists of General Aptitude and General Awareness with 40 questions .

Part-II -Consists of Technical/ Professional knowledge test with 80 questions from respective discipline

2. Final Merit of selection of all discipline will be decided based on marks secured by the candidates in Written Test (100% Weightage).

3. All questions shall carry equal marks i.e 1 Mark per question. Wrong or multiple answers would result in negative marks of 0.25 or ¼ mark.

4. The applicants will have the option to appear for Written Test in HINDI/ENGLISH language. (Question paper will be bilingual ).

5. The management reserves the right to raise the minimum eligibility standards/criteria/ vacancy and/or conduct a screening test to restrict the number of candidates for Written Test.

6. Empanelment of candidates Candidates who qualify in the written test will only be adjudged suitable for empanelment.

How to Apply :

(A) The last date for the Jr. Engineer Trainee (JET)-2021 application form of THDCIL has been extended. PFA the revised dates

a. Last Date for Registration for online Application- 8th March 2021(12 noon)

b. Last Date for Making Fees Payment- 10th March 2021(4 pm)

Step A: Registration:

1. Interested eligible candidates should apply through online registration system of THDCIL. To apply, logon to http:/www.thdc.gov.in Career Section”Online Application for the post of Jr. Engineer Trainee”. With your valid E-mail ID. No other means/ mode of application shall be accepted. THDCIL will not be responsible for bouncing back of any email sent to the candidate. Candidates shall apply only through online registration system. No other means for application shall be entertained.

2. Before registration candidates should possess the following:

a. Valid and active Email ID and Mobile No.

b. Scanned copy of recent passport size color photograph of the candidate with white background (30 KB to 50 KB).

c. Scanned signature of the candidate (30 KB to 50 KB).

d. Scanned copy of Employment Registration (100 KB to 300 KB).

e. Scanned copy of Final year Diploma Mark sheet with a proof of percentage of marks obtained (100 KB to 300 KB).

f. Scanned copy of Aadhar Card (100 KB to 300 KB).

g. Scanned copy of Caste/ Category Certificate (if applicable in case of SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwD/EWS) (100 KB to 300 KB).

3. Photograph: One recent coloured passport size photograph not more than three months old is to be scanned and upload in the space earmarked in the on-line application. The photograph should be in JPG or JPEG format. The size of the photograph should be upto 30 KB to 50 KB.

4. Signature: Signature (in Black ink) against white background is to be scanned and uploaded in the space earmarked in the on-line application. Candidate must ensure the signature uploaded shall be maintained as same at all places viz. signature up-loaded ,appended on undertaking , attendance sheet of written examination, etc. If any variation is found between the signature , the candidature is liable to be cancelled. Candidate is advised to confirm his/her uploaded signature is clearly visible/ identifiable at the appropriate place. The signature should be in JPG or JPEG format. The size of signature should be upto 30 KB to 50 KB.

5. Scanned copy of employment registration , final year diploma mark sheet, diploma certificate, aadhar card and caste/ category certificate (if applicable in case of SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/NCL/EWS).

6. For the candidates who are exempted from making application fee (SC/ST/PwD/ExServicemen/Departmental Candidates), once they submit their data online (General Information on Registration Tab), System will display an Unique Application Number which will be sent on their registered mobile number and mail ID for future reference

7. Candidates should check that their Signature, Photograph, Employment Registration, Aadhar Card, Class Xth certificate and Final Year Diploma Mark Sheet are uploaded in the designated place in the format before final submission of application.

8. The candidate should ensure that all fields including valid email id and mobile number are duly filled in and are correct. No alteration is permissible after submission of the online form and will be considered final. No change in the email ID or mobile number will be allowed once entered. All future correspondence shall be made via Email and/or SMS only.

9. Once applied, the applicants are advised to check the website as well as their registered e-mail regularly for any updates. THDCIL not responsible any failure on part of candidate to do so.

10. The admit card indicating Roll Number, Name of the allocated Test Center and guidelines for the test will be made available on our website to the candidates found apparently eligible based on the information provided by the candidates while filling online application form /online data only. The candidate has to download his/her admit card, Test Guidelines etc. for appearing in the test from the website only. Please note that the admit card will not be sent by post.
