Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL), a Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Railway, invites applications from eligible dynamic & experienced candidates for the following Executive post on regular basis:

1. Category: Dy. Chief Engineer/ Design(JAG) / Dy. Chief Engineer / Design(SG)
2. No. of posts: 01
3. Pay Scale: 78800 – 209200 (PML-12) / Rs.123100 -215900 (PML-13)
4. Essential Qualification : BE / B.Tech (Civil Engineering) from reputed institute / university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate.
5. Desirable Qualification: ME / M Tech (Structural Engineering / Geotechnical / Foundation Engineering / Earthquake Engineering) from reputed institute / university.
6. Eligibility Criteria: Minimum 12 / 16 years’ experience (for JAG / SG respectively) in structural design of Bridges / Viaducts / flyovers for Railway / Road / Metro loading based on Indian (sound knowledge of IS, IRS, IRC and other relevant codes related to design) / International (EURO, BS & AASTHO) standards & basic design philosophy. Preference shall be given to Candidate having experience in design of superstructure comprising of steel structures, composite structures, segmental bridges, U-girder, I-girder, balanced cantilever box girder with pre-stressed concrete technology & and should be proficient in use of various Structural Design softwares (like STAAD, MIDAS, LUSAS, SOFISTK etc.)

General Instructions
i) Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply. Attested copy of Adhar card is to be submitted at the time of Selection process / Document verification.
ii) The selection process shall be conducted at Navi-Mumbai or at the place decided by the Corporation. the candidate should be prepared to stay for 2-3 days till the completion of Personal Interview. No journey fare shall be payable.
iii) The candidates should ensure that they fill up all the eligibility criteria and other conditions mentioned in this notification and that the particulars furnished by them in the applications are correct in all respect. Mere submission of application successfully does not imply that the Corporation (KRCL) has been satisfied about the candidate’s eligibility. In case it is detected at any stage of recruitment/selection/even after appointment that the candidate does not full fill the eligibility norms and/or that he/she has furnished any incorrect/false information or has suppressed any material fact(s), his/her candidature /appointment will automatically stand cancelled, as the candidature/appointment would be deemed to be void ab initio.
iv) The e-mail id entered in the online application form must remain valid for one year. All future communication with the candidates will take place through e-mail only and it will be presumed that the same has been read by the candidate. KRCL will not be responsible for any loss/nondelivery of e-mail/any other communication sent, due to invalid/wrong id or due to any other reason.
v) KRCL reserves the right to raise the minimum eligibility standards. The KRCL management reserves the right to fill or not to fill the above post without assigning any reason whatsoever. KRCL also reserves the right to cancel/restrict/modify/alter the recruitment process, if need arises without issuing any further notice or assigning any reason whatsoever.

vii) Any dispute with regard to recruitment against the said recruitment will be settled within the jurisdiction of Navi Mumbai only.

Selection Procedure :
Only provisionally eligible candidates shall be called for selection. KRCL intends to call candidates about 10 times the number of vacancies notified for the post of Deputy Chief Engineer (Design) based on their Qualification and Experience. The selection will be by way of Personal Interview.
a) The weightage of marks and minimum qualifying marks in each area of evaluation on a scale of 100 shall be as under:
1. Minimum qualification 20
2. Desirable qualification 10
3. Minimum experience 20
4. Preferable experience 10
5. Additional Design experience over & above the minimum 10 (Maximum)
6. Personal Interview (minimum 18 marks required) 30
7. Total 100
8. Overall qualifying marks 60%
The specific date of selection will be intimated along with the list of short listed candidates through KRCL website. Candidates called for interview should carry original Application, Educational documents, Experience certificate & other documents mentioned in notification along with one set of self attested copies. Candidate with all clear records and as per merit to the extent of vacancy notified will be called for prescribed medical examination. The selected and medically fit candidate will be provisionally appointed based on the merit position.
