Qualification Details:
Applications are invited from interested and eligible candidates for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in Zoological Survey of India in Sunderban Regional Centre, Canning. The position is for a period of three years and purely on temporary basis and will be terminated on completion of the project. On completion of two years, the JRF will be upgraded to Senior Research Fellow (SRF) based on satisfactory performance and assessment through ZSI Expert Committee.

3. Educational Qualification: Master degree in Zoology /Life Sciences with Zoology as a major subject in undergraduate Course from a recognized University with minimum 55% marks.
4. Desirable Qualification: Research experience in taxonomy, systematic, zoology or allied subject, field survey experience in marine, coral reef and reef associated fauna, underwater photography, field data collection, scuba diving and snorkeling, and Computer knowledge etc.
5. Remuneration: Rs. 12,000/- + Admissible HRA (As per rules)
General Instructions:
1. Age Limit: Age shall not be more than 28 years as on last date of application.
2. Candidate will be shortlisted based on their qualification and experience. Mere possession of qualification and experience may not entertain a candidate called for interview or selection. Although, there is indication for number of vacancy, the Director, ZSI reserve the rights for selection of any number of candidates.
3. Short listed candidates will be informed through email and or speed post for appearing before an interview committee.
4. At the time of the verification of original documents (even after selection), if it is found that an attempt has been made by the applicant to willfully conceal, misrepresent or canvass the facts, such applicant will not be considered for selection and due action will be implemented.
5. Candidate selected will be posted at Sunderban Regional Centre and would be liable to go anywhere in the country, for surveys and other required works. 6. Incomplete application and application without supporting documents will be rejected and or not considered. 7.
