Specialist -
Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) propose to engage General Duty Medical Officers (GDMOs) and Specialists for various locations/formations throughout the country (purely on contract basis) as per terms and conditions mentioned below:
1. Name of the Post: Specialists
2. No of Posts: 07
3. Remuneration: Rs. 85,000/- per month.
4. Qualification:
(i) A recognized medical qualification included in the first or Second Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule (other than that licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section (13) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
(ii) Post-Graduate Degree/Diploma in the concerned Specialty as mentioned in Section-A or Section-B of Schedule-VI or equivalent.
5. Experience: 1 1/2 years experience for Post Graduate degree holder & 2 1/2 years for Diploma holder in the concerned specialty after obtaining the Post Graduate Degree/Diploma or equivalent.
General Duty Medical Officer -

3. Remuneration: Rs. 75,000/- per month.
4. Qualification:
(i) A recognized medical qualification included in the first or Second Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule (other than that licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section (13) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
(ii) Completion of compulsory rotating internship.
Age:
All General Duty Medical Officers/Specialists so appointed will not continue on the post once he/she reaches 70 years of age.
Terms and Conditions
1. Period of Engagement: The initial contractual appointment will be for a period of three years which may be extended for further 2 years on year to year basis subject to the maximum age cap of 70 years or till regular incumbent joins whichever is earlier. The services of the appointee are also terminable before expiry of the contractual period by either side after giving one month's notice (on other side) without assigning any reason by paying/refunding one month's salary and does not carry any right for regularization or permanent absorption.
2. Leave: The leave entitlement of the appointee shall be governed as per DoP&T O.M. No. 12016/3/84-Estt(L) dated 12th April 1985 and 0M dated 5th July, 1990 as amended from time to time.
3. The competent authority reserves the right for any amendment, cancellation and change in this advertisement in whole or part thereof without assigning any reason.
4. Medical Examination: Immediately after interview on the same day candidates will be medically examined by a Board of Medical Officers detailed by concerned Composite Hospital. Appointment will be subject to Physical fitness.

3. Candidate may appear in walk-in-interview at any locations for appointment in any states (location/places) subject to the vacancy of the particular location.
4. No TA/DA is admissible for the interview. Suitable and willing candidates may WALK IN FOR INTERVIEW at schedule places along with original and photocopies of all relevant documents (like Graduate Degree, internship completion certificate, age proof and experience certificate if any etc) and application in plain paper superscripting the name of post applied for in the State/area/region and five passport size recent photographs. The appointment carries with it the liability to serve in any part of the country. The Directorate General of SSB will finally decide the place of posting state/area/region etc with the approval of the competent authority.
