Qualification :-
1. Revenue Member -
A. CBDT: Officers of the Central Government having one year regular service in level 15 in the pay matrix Rs. 1,82,200- Rs. 2,24,400/-. and possessing the following essential qualifications, namely:-
(i) having fifteen years' of experience in administering and running the direct tax administration in the Central Government with ten years of experience in the field formations of Central Board of Direct Taxes;
(ii) having high professional merit and excellence; and
(ii) having impeccable reputation of integrity.
B. CBEC: Officers of the Central Government having one year regular service in level 15 in the pay matrix Rs. 1,82,200- Rs. 2,24,400/-. and possessing the following essential qualifications, namely:-
(i) having fifteen years' of experience in administering and running the indirect tax administration in the Central Government with ten years of experience in the field formations of Central Board of Excise and Customs;
(ii) having high professional merit and excellence; and
(iii) having impeccable reputation of integrity.
Age: The normal eligibility conditions of maximum age of 56 years on the date of closing of applications shall not be applicable in cases of absorption.
2. Deputy Director -
Holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre/department; or With five years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the Pay Band-2 of Rs. 9300-34800 plus Grade Pay of Rs. 5400 (Pre revised ) or Pay Band -3 Rs. 15600-39100 plus Grade Pay of Rs. 5400 (Pre revised ) or equivalent in the parent cadre/department; and Possessing experience of at least five years in the field of Legal work, Intelligence, Investigation work and Adjudication or prosecution relating to fiscal or criminal laws, or possessing investigative experience of at least five years in Banking or Accounts or Audit.
