1. The Advocates who are eligible to appear before the High Court having minimum experience of 5 years in handling Direct Tax matters before the High Court or ITAT as an Advocate, may apply to be empanelled as Senior Standing Counsel. The Advocates with minimum experience of 3 years may apply for empanelment as Junior Standing Counsels. The officers retired/resigned from the Income Tax Department who are eligible to appear before the High Court as an advocate may also apply provided they satisfy eligibility conditions mentioned in Instruction No.712016 Dated 07/09/2016. The requirement is as under:
2. (a) For Bangalore Bench -3 Seniors and 4 Juniors out of which one senior will be in the extended panel as per Instructions No.7/2016 (b) For Dharwad Bench: 1 Senior& 1 Junior Counsel (c ) For Kalburgi Bench-I Junior Counsel
