Qualification :
1. Scientist-B (Medical): Essential qualifications: MBBS Degree recognized by MCI. Desirable qualifications: MD in medicine/pediatric/community medicine/microbiology/pharmacology from a recognized university. Additional research/teaching experience in relevant subjects from recognized institute(s) Knowledge of Computer Applications or tools/ Data Management.
2. Scientist-B (Earth Science/Environmental science/Geography/Remote Sensing and GIS): Essential Qualification: 1St class Master's degree in Earth Science/Environmental Science/Geography/Remote Sensing and GIS from a recognized University. OR Second class Master's degree in Earth Science/Environmental Science/Geography/Remote Sensing and GIS with PhD Degree from a recognized University.
3. Scientist - Publication: Essential Qualification: 1st class Master's Degree in Life sciences from a recognized University OR 2ndclass Master's Degree + PhD in Life Sciences from a recognized University.
4. Scientist-B (Social Science): Essential Qualifications: 1St class Master's degree in Sociology/Population Science/Anthropology from a recognized University. OR Second class Master's degree + PhD Degree in Sociology/Population Science/Anthropology from a recognized University.
5. Scientist-B (Vector Biology): Essential Qualifications: 1st class Master's degree in Life Sciences from a recognized University. OR Second class Master's degree + PhD Degree in Life Sciences from a recognized University.
6. Scientist-B (Parasite Biology) - Essential Qualifications: 1st class Master's degree in Life Sciences from a recognized University. OR Second class Master's degree + PhD Degree in Life Sciences from a recognized University.
Selection Procedure :
a. The applications received will be screened at Level-1 by a Screening Committee as per the criteria adopted by ICMR. The candidates found eligible on the basis of the recommendations of Level-1 screening committee will be invited to appear in the written examination (objective type).
b. A. Written Test - 40 marks B. Publication, experience etc. - 20 marks C. Personal discussion/ Interview - 40 marks
