Qualification :
Research Assistant -
i. Essential Qualification: M.Sc. Bioinformatics/ Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/ MPH with prior experience in Bioinformatics as evidenced from publications in peer reviewed journals/thesis/ reprints.
ii. Desirable Qualification: 1. Experience in programming (HTML, Perl &R) and Database development using (PHP, MySQL) 2. Experience in web design and hosting 3. Hands-on experience in NGS data analysis and high-through computational biology tools
2. Project entitled “Vector Surveillance for ZIKV in selected high risk areas”
i. Essential Qualification: M.Sc. Microbiology/ Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Master in Public Health with prior experience in molecular techniques as evidenced from publications in peer reviewed journals/ thesis/ reprints
ii. Desirable Qualification: Experience in Biotechnology. Hands-on experience in molecular techniques.
3. Job Specification/Responsibilities:
i. Work on research projects or on meta-analysis of Intuitional or global medical data/Genomic/Generic data etc.
ii. Work on research project and conduct field survey for collection of Aedes mosquitoes and detect ZIKA virus in Aedes mosquitoes using molecular technique.
Lab Technician -
i. Project entitled “Vector Surveillance for ZIKV in selected high risk areas”
ii. Qualification: +2 with science subject and 2 years diploma in Medical Laboratory Technician or one year DMLT plus one year experience in a recognized institute.
iii. Desirable Qualification: B.Sc Degree with DMLT will be treated as 3 years experience.
iv. Job Specification/Responsibilities: To conduct laboratory work, prepare various media, solutions, look after the equipments and process mosquito sample.

Terms and Conditions :
1. Age relaxation will be given to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category as per Govt. of India rules & ICMR norms.
2. Qualification & Experience should be in relevant discipline/field and from an Institution of repute. Experience should have been gained after acquiring the minimum essential qualification.
3. Mere fulfilling the essential qualification does not guarantee the selection.
4. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
5. Consolidated salary of the post may vary from time to time.
6. No TA DA will be paid and candidate may have to arrange transport/accommodation themselves for written test/skill test/ interview.

9. Appointment on project mode is purely temporary and candidates shall have no claim for regular appointment either in RMRC, Bhubaneswar or ICMR
