Assistant Professor:
Qualification Details:
1. Assistant Professor (Biotechnology)
i. Qualification and Experience: 1. Ph.D with 1st class or equivalent at the preceding degree M.S.(Pharm)/ M. Pharm/ M.Sc.) in the appropriate branch having teaching/industrial/research experience with good academic record. 2. Post Ph.D. 5 years experience in Teaching/Industry/Research.
ii. Desirable: Persons having teaching/ research experience in the area of sequence analysis, system biology, immunology, Fermentation Techniques, Scale up of Biochemical processes, Environmental Biotechnology, Cell and signaling etc. shall be preferred.
2. Assistant Professor (Biostatistics)
i. Qualification & Experience: 1. Ph.D with 1st class or equivalent at the preceding degree in Statistics preferably in Bio-Statistics or equivalent from a recognized University/Institution having teaching/industrial/research experience with good academic record. 2. Post Ph.D. 5 years experience in Teaching/Industry/Research.
ii. Desirable: Persons having teaching/ research experience in the area of Probability, Sampling, Estimation and Hypothesis testing, Experimental design and analysis of variance, Correlation and regression, Probit and logit transformations, Non-parametric tests, Sign; Mann-Whitney U; Wilcoxon matched pair; Kruskal wallis and Friedman two way anova tests. Spearman rank correlation Statistical techniques in pharmaceutics like Statistical test for bioequivalence. Dose response studies; Statistical quality control etc. shall be preferred.
3. Assistant Professor (Pharmacoinformatics)
i. Qualification & Experience: 1. Ph.D with 1st class or equivalent at the preceding degree M.S.(Pharm)/ M.Pharm/ M. Sc) in the appropriate branch having teaching/industrial/research experience with good academic record. 2. Post Ph.D. 5 years experience in Teaching/Industry/Research.
ii. Desirable: Persons having teaching/ research experience in the area of comparative genomics, transcriptomics, immunoinformatics, molecular modeling, drug metabolism and toxicocity, anti-diabetic drug design, chemoinformatics, Bioinformatics, Pharmacoinformatics, Synthesis of PPARg agents, IPR etc. shall be preferred.
4. Assistant Professor (Pharmacology and Toxicology)
i. Qualification & Experience: 1. Ph.D with 1st Class or equivalent in Pharmaceutical sciences at the preceding degree (MS Pharm/ M Pharm/M Tech) in Pharmacology and Toxicology / Biotechnology with good academic record throughout. 2. Post Ph.D. 5 years experience in Teaching/Industry/Research. 3. The candidate should have demonstrated leadership in In vitro and In vivo pharmacology mainly in the areas of cancer, diabetes, inflammation and in terms of guidance of Masters and Ph.D. students, strong record of publications in SCI indexed journals and conference, patents, laboratory / course development and / or other recognized relevant professional activities such as principal investigator of major research papers.
ii. Desirable: Persons having teaching/ research experience in the area of Drug Metabolism , Pharmacological Screening and Assays, CNS drug discovery and challenges, Neurotransmitters, Respiratory pharmacology, Autonomic, CVS, Blood, Renal and GI Pharmacology, Autacoids and Endocrine Pharmacology, Clinical Pharmacology and Regulatory Toxicology, Chemotherapy and Immunopharmacology, SDS PAGE, MTT and LDH assay etc. shall be preferred Maximum Age: 45 years as on last date of application.
5. Assistant Professor (Pharmacy Practice)
i. Qualification & Experience: 1. Ph.D with 1 st class or equivalent at the preceding degree M.Pharm in the appropriate branch having teaching/industrial/research experience with good academic record. 2. Post Ph.D. 5 years experience in Teaching/Industry/Research.
ii. Desirable: Persons having teaching/ research experience in the area of development of pharmaceutical products and patents and strong background in developing and validation of pharmaceutical formulations and/or clinical practices research employing modern techniques, Patient Safety, Pharmaceutical care, Pharmacokinetics and bio pharmaceutics, Pharmacovigilance, Pharmaco-economics, community and rural pharmacy, clinical pharmacy, clinical trials et-cetra shall be preferred. 3. The candidate should have demonstrated leadership in research in a specific area of specialization in terms of guidance of Ph. D students, strong record of publications in reputed journals and conferences, patents, laboratory/course development and/or other recognized relevant professional activities such as principal investigator of major research paper.
ii. Desirable: Persons having teaching/ research experience in the area of development of pharmaceutical products and patents and strong background in developing and validation of pharmaceutical formulations and/or clinical practices research employing modern techniques, geriatric pharmacotherapy, antimicrobial usage, Pharmaco-therapeutics, Rational use of drugs, clinical and applied therapeutics and clinical trials etc. shall be preferred.

General Instruction:
1. Applications are invited from eligible Indian citizen. Mere eligibility will not entitle any candidate for being called for interview.

4. On the recommendation of the selection committee, the competent authority may relax age limit/ experience/ qualification on recommendation of the Committee. Higher starting pay may be considered in case of extra meritorious candidate.
5. Maximum age is relaxable for Persons retired from a Technical Institution/ Central Universities/ Universities/ Research Institutions having experienced in the field, but within 62 years of age. Age will be reckoned as on last date for submission of the application.
6. The selection committee may also recommend considering placement in respective lower grade depending upon qualification and experience.
7. For Assistant Professor positions, if a candidate does not have minimum 5 years post doc experience, but have minimum of 3 + years may also be considered for position on ad-hoc basis.
