Qualification Details:
1. Required Skills and Experience: Master’s Degree in the field of Environmental Sciences/Biodiversity Conservation/Wildlife Sciences/Natural Resource Management or related field Outstanding communication, management and organizational skills Familiarity with the working environment and professional standards of international organizations. At least 3 years’ experience in implementation of community based conservation and natural resource management projects, especially in Himalayan landscapes. Experience of working with the government and civil society organizations in the conservation sector. Proficiency in English, Hindi and local language is essential.
2. Duties and Responsibilities Under the overall supervision of the State Nodal Officer, direct supervision of the Divisional Forest Officer/District Collector (coordination with the National Project Management Unit,/ Programme Manager, UNDP, when required), the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks: Support the National team, State Project Officer and LLPMU team in preparation of the Annual Workplans (AWPs) especially in design of the activities to be undertaken at the landscape level w.r.t the project results framework and tracking tools. Support the team in project implementation at the landscape level particularly in the effective and quality delivery of activities related to biodiversity conservation and sustainable natural resource management under the approved AWP. Support the team in monitoring and evaluation of the project activities at the landscape level. Collect and compile information required for preparation and submission of Project Implementation Reviews, Quarterly Progress Reports, Annual Progress Reports and other relevant progress reports.
