Qualification Details:
1. Title of the Project : MM - Catalysis for Sustainable Development (CSD)
2. No. of positions to be filled up: PA-II : 6 (Six) PA-III: 3 (Three)
3. Minimum prescribed educational Qualifications: PA-II: M.Sc. Chemistry/ Physics or B.E/ B.Tech or M.E/ M.Tech Chemical Engineering/ Technology with minimum 55% marks/ Grade equivalent to 55% marks PA-III: M.Sc. Chemistry or B.E./ B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech Chemical Engineering/ Technology with minimum 55% marks with 2 Years of minimum experience
4. Desirable experience, if any: A-II : Exposure to computational physics/ chemistry, quantum chemistry, basic mathematical methods, e.g. calculus, computer programming, usage of UNIX/Linux operating system for one (1) position PA-II : Exposure to chemistry with catalyst synthesis membrane separation reactor design and characterization techniques for five (5) positions PA-III: minimum 24 months experience in the field of process development-scale up and process intensification for three (3) position
5. Job requirement:Application of Density Functional Theory and other computational methods to investigate reaction mechanism of various dehydration reactions for PA-II Catalyst synthesis, characterization, reactor design with various simulation techniques and membrane design and separation techniques for PA-II Design and development a catalytic process for the synthesis of glycerol carbonate at pilot scale. Preparation of material, energy balance as well as development of PFD, design of reactors, mathematical modeling, kinetic studies for PA-III
