Qualification Details:
1. Essential for (Linguistics):
i. Qualification: (a) 1St class MA in Linguistics/ Applied Linguistics/ allied disciplines with sound knowledge in Bangla morphology, grammar, part-of-speech, and lexicography, (b) Research experience for at least 1 (one) year in the area of Natural Language Processing and Language Computation.
ii. Desirable: (a) Working knowledge in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point etc.), (b) Experience of working with NLP Toolkit and software, (c) Ability to handle large amount of Unicode compatible Bangla text data, (d) Good knowledge in POS tagging, Chunking , Text Annotation, transcription etc. (e) Knowledge in project report preparation and research paper writing and presentation.
2. Essential for (Computer Science):
i. Qualification: (a) MCA/ B.Tech. with good programming skill in Phyton, C++, or JAVA. (b) Experience in Webpage Design, Homepage maintenance, GUI development.
ii. Desirable: (a) Good knowledge in HTML, CSS, XML, PHP, Corel Draw, Photoshop, MS Word, Excel, (b) Experience of working with NLP Toolkit and software, (c) Ability to handle large amount of Unicode compatible Bangla text data, (d) Knowledge in Text annotation, Chunking, transcription etc. (e) Knowledge in project report preparation and research paper writing and presentation.
3. Pay Consolidated salary within the range between 20000/- (Rupees twenty thousand only) to 25000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand only) per month.
4. Tenure of The duration of appointment is initially up to 31 March 2019 from the date of his/her Appointment joining the institute which may be extended later/terminated earlier based on performance and availability of the required fund.
5. Project titled "POS Tagged Bangla Text Corpus Generation (2018-2021)"
Age: Should not exceed 35 years as on 01 May 2018 with usual relaxation for SC/ ST/ OBC/ differently abled candidates will be applicable. Age relaxation may be given to outstanding candidates or candidates with relevant experience.
