Qualification Details:
1. Educational Qualification as on 31.12.2017: X/ SSLC, XII/ HSC & Graduation with minimum 60 % marks under regular course.
2. Candidates who are meeting the requisite educational qualification as on 31.12.2017 only will be eligible to apply.
3. Candidate should have passed X, XII and Graduation under regular course (full time course) from a recognised University/ Institute recognised by the Govt. of India. Educational qualification by mode of distance education will not be considered.
4. If Grade/ CGPA is awarded instead of marks, only candidates securing CGPA/ Grade equivalent to 60% or more may apply. Equivalent percentage should be mentioned at the time of application.
5. Those who have scored less than 60% marks will not be eligible for applying. Rounding off to the nearest integer is not allowed. (for e.g. 59.99 % cannot be rounded off to 60 % )
6. PROGRAMME AND COURSE FEE: The selected candidates shall undergo 8-months residential campus programme at the Manipal Global Education Services Pvt. Ltd, Bangalore (MaGE) and 4 months’ internship at Bank Branch. During the Campus programme, a well-structured syllabus is designed to meet the skill sets as required and to identify candidates in areas of their excellence. On successful completion of the programme, the candidates may be awarded Post Graduate Diploma in Banking & Finance by Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) and will be absorbed to the services of the Bank as Probationary Officer in Scale I cadre. The fees for this Course will be Rs. 3.50 lakhs (all inclusive of boarding, Lodging and course fees, other fees, etc.) plus taxes, as applicable to be paid by the student.
7. SALARY: IBA approved pay scale of Rs. 23700– 980/7 – 30560- 1145/2 – 32850- 1310/7 - 42020 plus DA, HRA & other allowances (likely to be revised). Eligible for Performance Linked Incentive applicable to Scale I officers.
8. PROBATION PERIOD: The period of probation is 2 years (inclusive of one year course period). Confirmation will be subject to satisfactory performance during probation.
Age: Less than 25 years as on 31.12.2017. Candidate should be born not earlier than 01.01.1993 and not later than 31.12.1998 (both days inclusive). Upper age limit will be relaxed by 5 years in the case of SC/ST candidates.

General Conditions:
1. Before filling in the online application form, the candidate must ensure that he/she fulfills all the eligibility criteria with respect to age, educational qualifications, work experience etc. in respect of the post for which he/she is making the application.
2. The applicants will be called for the online test/GD/ Interview based on the information provided in the online application form submitted by them. If the information furnished by the candidate is found to be false at later date, the selection / appointment shall be liable for termination
3. Upper age limit will be relaxed by five years, only in the case of SC/ST candidates. Candidates belonging to SC/ST should submit attested copies of certificates from a competent authority to prove their status in this regard as and when called for.
4. Mere eligibility will not vest any right on the candidate for being called for online test/ GD/ interview. In matters regarding eligibility and selection, Bank’s decision will be final and no correspondence will be entertained. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
5. Candidates will have to appear for Online Test, GD & Interview at their own cost. Candidates willing to serve anywhere in India only need to apply. Offer for Appointment will be issued in phases for selected candidates as per Bank's requirement.
6. Appointment of the selected candidates will also be subject to Medical fitness, satisfactory background verification and completion of other formalities as per the rules and regulations of the Bank from time to time.

How to Apply:
1. Candidates to visit the Bank’s website ‘www.southindianbank.com’ click on the option "APPLY ONLINE" which will open a new screen.
2. To register application, choose the tab "Click on Register Button" and enter the details. A Provisional Registration Number and Password (as Date of Birth) will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Candidate should note down the Provisional Registration Number. An Email & SMS indicating the Provisional Registration number and Password will also be sent.
3. In case the candidate is unable to complete the application form in one go, he / she can save the data already entered by choosing "SAVE AND CONTINUE" tab. Prior to submission of the online application candidates are advised to use the "SAVE AND CONTINUE" facility to verify the details in the online application form and modify the same if required. Visually Impaired candidates should fill the application form carefully and verify/ get the details verified to ensure that the same are correct prior to final submission.
4. Candidates are advised to carefully fill and verify the details filled in the online application themselves as no change will be possible/ entertained after clicking the FINAL SUBMIT BUTTON.
5. The Name of the candidate or his /her Father/ Husband etc. should be spelt correctly in the application as it appears in the Certificates/ Mark sheets/Identity proof. Any change/alteration found may disqualify the candidature.
6. Validate your details and Save your application by checking the “I accept the Terms & Conditions and Rules & Regulations” checkbox and clicking on “Save and Continue”
7. Candidates can proceed to upload Photo & Signature as per the specifications given in the Guidelines for Scanning and Upload of Photograph and Signature detailed under point "C". Candidates can proceed to fill other details of the Application Form.
8. Click on the Preview Tab to preview and verify the entire application form before FINAL SUBMIT. Modify details, if required, and click on 'FINAL SUBMIT' ONLY after verifying and ensuring that the photograph, signature uploaded and other details filled by you are correct. Click on 'Payment' Tab and proceed for payment. Click on 'Submit' button.
