Qualification Details:
1. Eligibility Criteria: 25% by Direct Recruitment on the basis of Competitive Examination restricted to GDS for selection in the division:
a. Age Limit for GDS shall be 50 years as on 01.042017 ( relaxable by 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST). The age concession for OBC/SC/ST candidates is applicable only against respective reserved quota of vacancies.
b. There is no minimum service condition.
c. The GDS who are deputation to APS on technical appointment as Group 'D' on civil side , only for the purpose of deputation to APS and who are GDS for all purposes in civil side are eligible to appear against GDS quota.
2. 25% by Direct Recruitment on the b sis of Competitive Examination restricted t GDS of the recruiting division for joining Army Postal Services only as Sepoy acker Male Candidates only):
a. Age Limit : 18-30 years ( relxa Ie for different categories as notified the Govt. of India from time to time)
b. Found medically fit as per the itness criteria fixed by the Departm nt of Posts/ APS from time to time.
c. The official who wants to be olled in APS should confirm to the fol wing physical standard. Height: 157 cms, Weight: 50 Kgs, Chest: 77 cms.
d. Willing to serve in Army Postal Service till his services are required the Army Postal Service.

Selection Procedure:
A common merit list will be prepared for both the APS(Annexure II) an Non APS(Annexure I) categories for each Division/ unit. The candidates ranking higher in th merit list will be considered for the vacancies in Annexure I(Non APS) and for Annexure (APS) based on the willingness Of the candidates and availability of vacancies.
How to Apply:
1. The application format is enclosed herewith. Eligible GDS may apply for vacancies furnished in Annexure I & II in a single application but specify if they are work in APS in the space provided in the application. The candidate should enclose two passport size photographs. The applicant should affix a passport size photo in the application and attach th the other passport size photo with the application.
2. The Divisional Heads will retain the attached photo for issue of hall permit. The GDS officials working in APS should send the applications to the concerned Divisional offices only. The last date for submission of applications by the candidates to the Divisional/ Unit eads concerned is 20.08.2018. The Divisional heads will scrutinize the applications submitted y the candidates with reference to Name, Date of entry , Date of Birth, Category, eligibility crite ia etc. with reference to relevant Recruitment Rules and forward the Statement - I (recomm nded II (not recommended cases) to the Regional PMsG wi due cases), Statement - recommendations or otherwise on or before 24.08.2018.
3. The Regional PMGs will the deciding authority for permitting the candidates and will finalize the permitting the candidates to the above examination. The Regional office will intimate the details of cand dates permitted (division wise) and not permitted candidates on or before to this Office through email to rectt.tn.
