A: Qualifications:
1. Essential:
a. MSc in Botany/ Life Sciences/ Forestry/ Hydrology/ Environment. Ph.D in Botany/ Life Sciences/ Forestry/ Hydrology/ Environment.
b. 25 years of professional experience in natural resource management/ Forest Management/ Watershed Management by way of working in the relevant Central/ State departments. Research or Academic Institutions.
c. Should have at least years experience in projects mainly involving Planning and Management of Natural resources. Should be well acquainted with policies and laws related to forests, wildlife, hydrology, and environment.
2. Desirable:
a. Experience in handling National and International Projects.
b. Experience in similar consultancy or assignment on Planning and Management of Natural resources across landscapes involving forest land, agriculture lands. Urban areas, industrial establishment, and conservation areas of religious or biodiversity importance.
c. Published research papers in refereed journals of repute.
B: Duration: Period of 6 months extendable to maximum of 12 months.
C: Project: Preparation of DPR for rejuvenation of River Cauvery through Forestry Interventions.
D: Remuneration: Rs 60000/- per month.
Age: Maximum 65 years
Scope of Work:
1. Analysis of past and present management of the landscape adjoining all along river Cauvery with relevance to the quality, quantity, and duration of water flow into the river.
2. Anchoring, Coordinating and interacting with Subject matter experts for various chapters in the Preparation of Detailed project report for rejuvenation of river Cauvery.
3. Coordinating with the GIS layer developer engaged by IFGTB. Actively participating in consultative meetings with stakeholders for prioritization of sites and models of rejuvenation. 4. Developing forestry intervention models for rejuvenation of river Cauvery in consultation with stakeholders.
5. Writing of Detailed Project Report for rejuvenation of river Cauvery with GIS layers and forestry intervention models along with cost norms.
