Processing Cum Quality Assurance Supervisor -
Application for the post of Processing-Cum-Quality Assurance Supervisor is to be sent to Dr. Jai Singh Meena, Director in charge, National Institute of Fisheries Post Harvest Technology and Training, Foreshore Road, PB. No. 1801, Cochin16.

2. Essential: (Not applicable) (i) Bachelor's degree in Fishery Science or Biochemistry or Microbiology or Food Technology of a recognized ii) Two years experience in fish processing plants or analytical laboratory of repute.
3. Desirable: (Not applicable) : Master's Degree in Fishery Science or Biochemistry or Microbiology or Food Technology of a recognized University.
4. Duties: 1. Processing of fish, prawns and lobsters have to be arranged and personally supervised according to the availability of the raw materials. 2. If fish filleting or slicing or any other fish processing has to be done, the PQAS has to arrange the same and supervise also. 3. Before the work starts, the PQAS should made sure the supply of water working condition of plate freezer and ice in addition to all preliminary requisition for the conduct of the processing work. 4. The PQAS is held responsible for yield percentage, uniform standard of quality of the production in conformity with ISI standards, hygienic handling of work by peelers and general sanitary condition of the processing hall. 5. Receipt proper icing and storage if necessary and timely issue of raw materials for processing or round freezing after checking the quality and recording exact weight. 6. Proper loading and unloading from plate freezer and packing slabs as per grade and variety etc., for storage and export have to be attended. 7. The PQAS are jointly responsible for the chill room freezers store and freezers and for the safe custody of it keys. 8. Engine Driver -
Application for the post of Engine Driver Class-II is to be sent to Director, CIFNET, Govt. of India, Fine Arts Avenue, P.B.No.1724, Cochin-16
1. Pay Band-: (Rs. 29200-Rs. 92300) Level-5 (revised), Group B (Non-Gazetted) under Central Civil Services.
2. Qualification Essential: (i) Matriculation pass. (ii) Certificate of Competency as Engine Driver Fishing Vessel issued by Mercantile Marine Department.
3. Desirable: Eighteen months Engine Driver Fishing Vessel or two years Marine Fitter Course from Central Institute of Fisheries Nautical and Engineering Training.
4. Duties: Assisting the Chief Engineer Grade-I/Chief Engineer Grade-II in maintenance and running of the Engines of the fishing vessel. Watch duty of the engine room of the fishing vessel, Assisting the Chief Engineer in giving practical training to the trainees while on fishing voyage. Any other duties assigned by the superiors.

2. Qualification Essential: 1. Matriculation 10th or its equivalent. 2. National Trade Certificate in appropriate trade or National Apprenticeship Certificate in the appropriate trade or any other equivalent qualification in the trade with at least 3 years field Experience in appropriate trade (Preference would be given to the candidate trained in the Advance certificate from Advanced Training Institute for Instructor in appropriate trade)
3. Duties: Evaluation and training of PWD and maintain records such as attendance and progress register. Assign work to the PWD as per the evaluation plan chalked out by the Psychologist Workshop Foreman. Proper maintenance and upkeep of machinery, Tools & equipment and raw materials etc of his trade, maintaining various registers like Tools & Equipment Register, Raw Material Registers, Finished goods Registers etc and submitting the same to the Workshop Foreman Workshop Engineer/Head of the Centre for proper and periodical check up. Initiate formalities for the grant of stipend/scholarship such as filling of forms, enclosures etc. Developing adequate work sample evaluation models and assessing the functional suitability of the clients on the basis of simulated work condition. Evaluation of the clients as per the requirement of the various jobs in the employment market. Advising the Head of the Centre through Workshop Foreman/Workshop Engineer about the modification machines & equipment keeping in view the degree and type of disability. Administering monthly and quarterly tests for review of training and reporting about their progress in the achievement of skills.
