Qualification Details:
Assistant Engineer Trainee through GATE 2019
1. Selected candidates shall join POWERGRID as Assistant Engineer Trainees. After successful completion of 1 year training period they shall be absorbed in the company as Engineers at E2 level.
2. Such graduates who are desirous of pursuing further studies on the basis of GATE 2019 or need extension of joining time in case of selection need not apply.
3. Qualification:
Course: Full Time B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engg.) from recognized University/ Institute
i. AET (Electrical), Electrical/ Electrical (Power)/ Electrical and Electronics/ Power Systems Engineering/ Power Engineering (Electrical)
ii. AET (Electronics), Electronics / Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Telecommunication / Electronics & Electrical Communication / Telecommunication Engg
iii. AET(Civil), Civil Engineering. Minimum 60 % or Equivalent CGPA
4. Compensation Package: The Corporation offers a very attractive pay package and is one of the best in the Industry. Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs.40,000/- -3%- 140000(IDA) during the one-year training period. They shall be paid a stipend in the form of Basic Pay of Rs. 40,000/- alongwith IDA, HRA and Perks @12% of basic pay during training period. On successful completion of training, the candidates will be absorbed as Engineers in E2 scale - Rs. 50,000/- 3%- 1, 60,000/- (IDA).
5. Please note that only GATE 2019 score (Normalized Marks out of 100) is valid for this recruitment process. GATE score of 2018 or prior or GATE 2020 is not valid.

General Information And Instructions:
1. Only Indian Nationals of age 18 years or above are eligible to apply for POWERGRID.
2. Before applying, the candidate should ensure that he / she fulfills the eligibility criteria and other norms mentioned in this advertisement.
3. Essential qualification should be recognized in India and from a recognized Institution or University.
4. Vacancies are for requirement all over the country, mostly on site locations. Selected candidates shall be posted for OJT and final postings accordingly.

Selection Procedure:
The Selection Process consists of marks obtained (out of 100) in the relevant paper of GATE 2019, Group Discussion and Personal Interview, Eligible candidates should have qualified and secured a valid score in the corresponding paper of GATE 2019. Candidates shall be short-listed category-wise for Group Discussion and Personal Interview based on their normalized marks out of 100 in GATE 2019.
