3. As per requisition filed by the Home Department, Government of Odisha, the vacancy along with reservation thereof is given below:-

i. Toxicoloky - 01

ii. Chemistry - 07

4. Qualification: A candidate must possess a Master's degree from a recognized University in the subject mentioned against the respective Divisions / Disciplines as mentioned below and must have secured a minimum of 60% of the aggregate marks.

Age:

A candidate must have attained the age of 21 (twenty one) years and must not be above the age of 32 (thirty two) years on the 1st day of January 2021 i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd January, 1989 and not later than 1 January, 2000.

Application Fee:

A candidate is required to pay a non-refundable and non-adjustable fee of 400/- (Rupees four hundred) only. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe of Odisha and Persons with Disability (whose permanent disability is 40% and more) are exempted from payment of this fee.

Documents Required:

The candidates are required to download the hard copy of online application and submit the same during document verification. They are required to submit the true copies Of the documents mentioned below along with their application form:

(i) H.S.C. or equivalent certificate in support of declaration of age issued by the concerned Board /Council;

(ii) Intermediate/+2 Examination Certificate issued by the concerned Board/ Council;

(iii) Bachelor's Degree Certificate issued by the recognized University;

(iv) Master's Degree Certificate in concerned discipline in respect of educational qualification as mentioned in para 4 of the advertisement.

(v) Mark-lists in support of all the aforesaid Examination (H.S.C. to Master's Degree) passed including fail marks, if any, issued by the concerned Board / Council /University.

(vi) Two recent passport size photographs (unsigned & unattested) which has uploaded with Online Application Form.

(vii) Caste certificate by birth in support of claim as S.C/ S.T and S.E.B.C.

(viii) Any proof of identity.

(ix) Required Odisha Pass Certificate from the competent authority

(x) Permanent Disability Certificate (indicating percentage of disability i.e. 40% or more) issued by the concerned Medical Board, wherever applicable;

(xi) Discharge Certificates issued by the Commanding OfT1cer of the Unit last served. Ex-Servicemen must submit an affidavit undertaking that he has not been appointed against any civil post after retirement from military service, wherever applicable;

(xii) No objection certificate from the competent authority, in case of Government Servant.

(xiii) The candidate must take utmost care in filling up the marks secured and maximum marks for each year. The career evaluation will be done as per the data furnished by the candidates. Any mistake in filling up the marks will be at the risk of the candidates.

Important Points:

1. Online applications submitted to OPSC if found to be incomplete in anv respect are liable to reiection without entertaining any correspondence with the applicants on that score

2. Admission to the Viva Voce Test will be provisional. If on verification at any stage before or after the Viva Voce Test, it is found that a candidate not fulfil all the eligibility conditions, his/her candidature will be liable to rejection.

3. Decision of the Commission in regard to eligibility or otherwise Of candidate shall be final.

4. This advertisement should not be construed as binding on the Government to make appointment;

5. Concessions meant for S.T. / S.C. by birth & S.E„B.C are admissible to the Scheduled Tribe, Schedule Caste & Socially and Educationally Backward Classes of Odisha only;

6. Community / Caste status once mentioned by the candidates under the appropriate box Of the online application form will be treated as final and the same shall not be changed subsequently under any circumstances.

7. Any misrepresentation or suppression of information by the candidate in the online application, will result in cancellation of his/her candidature or penalty, as decided by the Commission be imposed on the candidate;

8. On appointment, the officers may called upon to undergo the course of training as directed by the Government from time to time;

Selection Procedure :

1. The selection of candidates for recruitment to the posts shall be made on the basis of Career Marking and Interview (100+50 marks), total 150 marks.

80% and above — 40 marks

70% to 79% - 30 marks

60% to 69% - 25 marks

4. Graduation Degree:

80% and above — 20 marks

70% to 79% - 15 marks

60% to 69% - 10 marks

Less than 60%-05 marks

5. Higher Secondary (+2)

90% and above — 20 marks

80% to 89% — 15 marks

70% to 79% - 10 marks

60% to 69% - 07 marks

6. H.S.C. or its equivalent

7. Note: Aggregate marks will be taken for calculation of percentage. Denomination of 0.5 to 0.9 will be treated 1.0.

8. The number of candidates to be shortlisted/ called for document verification based on data provided by the candidates in the Online Application Form will be 2.2 times of the laid down vacancy in each category, where the vacancy is more than 02(two) or if vacancy is 02 or less, the number of candidates called shall 05(five).

How to Apply :

1. Candidates must go through the details of this Advertisement available in the Website of OPSC before filling up online application form.

2. Candidates must apply online through the concerned Website of the OPSC http://opsc.gov.in.

3. Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and summarily rejected.

4. Before filling up the online application form, the candidates must go through detailed instructions available at OPSC portal.

5. The online application form is automated and system driven & will guide the candidate seamlessly in filling the application.

6. The requisite options shall be enabled and information shall be asked as per data furnished by the candidate.

7. Before filling up the information. ensure that accurate information is fed. for edit option is limited & on confirmation there is no scopg for further edit even if wrongful entry has been made while filling up application.

8. Candidates are requested to upload the scanned image of latest passport size photograph along with scanned image of his/her full signature and scanned image of Left hand Thumb Impression(LTI) in the online application form. Uploaded photograph, Specimen (full) signature and LTI must be clearly identifiable / visible, otherwise the application of the candidate is liable to be rejected by the Commission and no representation from the candidate will be entertained.

9. Candidates should keep at least two copies of latest passport size photograph which is uploaded to the online application form for future use. On successful submission of the online Registration, an unique Permanent Public Service Account Number (PPSAN)  will be assigned to the applicant.

10. Candidates are required to take a printout ofthe finally submitted online Registration/Re-registration and finally submitted Online Application forms and put his/her signature under the declaration for submission to OPSC along with copies of requisite certificate & documents as and when asked.

11. The candidates are advised to submit the Online Application Form well in advance without waiting for the closing date to avoid last hour rush.

12. Intimation letters to candidates for document verification & interview and Attestation form & Bio-data form shall be uploaded in the website of OPSC' prior to the date of Document verification/ Interview.

13. Online application's are invited from the prospective candidates through the proforma application to made available on the Website of the Commission (http://opsc.gov.in).

14. The link for registration/ re-registration & payment of examination fee shall be available from 04.03.2021 to 05.04.2021 (Note: 12.04.2021 is the last date for submission of Registered Online Application)
