Qualification Details:
1. Post Name: Research Assistant

2. Title of the Project: Information Research

3. Duration of the Project: One Year

4. Focus of Project: The focal area of the project shall inter-alia include: Scanning of vernacular, English language and social media in the neighbourhood with focus on:
Human rights situation. Foreign policy of neighbouring countries towards India Sectarian violence in the region Regional Issues Political parties and their narratives in the neighbouring countries  Reactions to CPEC

5. No. of Positions: 02

6. Salary and other Emoluments: A fixed remuneration of Rs. 50,000/- per month (all inclusive).

7. Contract Period: For a term of 12 months from the date of joining the Institute, further employment will be based on performance and Institute requirement.

8. Educational Qualifications: Minimum Graduate, Preferably Master’s Degree with a first class in social sciences and allied fields such as public policy, international relations, strategic affairs, development studies, especially focussing on South Asian Region. Knowledge of Urdu is mandatory. Preference shall be given to candidates who have undertaken research on South Asia.

9. Professional Experience: Research experience on South Asia

Job Description: The job profile inter-alia includes: Monitoring and tracking local media, official statements, briefings, and documents and tracking various other developments in the neighbourhood. Data collection from Primary and Secondary sources, including internet portals Writing event reports of seminars, round tables, seminars, workshops, etc. held at the Institute under the Project Providing administrative support for organising round tables, workshops, seminars, conferences, meetings under the aegis of the Project.

Desired Skill-Set: Keen interest in analysing current national and international affairs especially focusing on South Asia Excellent knowledge of Urdu and English language Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to attend to detail Work under strict deadlines Flair for team work  Ability to handle and edit multi-media content.

Age:
Below 35 years

Documents required:

3. Copy of education and experience certificates.

4. One letter of reference from Supervisor of the previous place of work

5. Copy of education certificates/ degrees

6. Candidates presently serving with the Government Sector and shortlisted for the written test must provide a ‘NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE’ from the present employer before/at the time of test.

7. A copy of the Caste Certificate issued by competent authority as stipulated by Government of India in the Central List.

8. PWBD Candidates (with benchmark disability not less than 40%) should produce Disability Certificate in the prescribed format from the competent authority as specified in the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.

General Information:
1. The selected candidates will be expected to join as per date in the offer letter.

2. The Institute reserves the right to fill or not to fill the position advertised or cancel recruitment procedure at any stage without assigning any reason

3. The Institute reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates for the selection test to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement and other academic achievements. Mere eligibility will not vest any right on any candidate for being called for the interview. 4.

4. The decision of the institute in all matters will be final.

5. The selected candidate shall be subjected to other rules and regulations as applicable to MP-IDSA Scholars and Staff

6. Age and Education qualification will be calculated as on the last date of submission of application.

7. In case of non-availability of suitable candidates with prescribed qualifications, Institute reserves the right to relax the prescribed qualifications for candidates found more suitable for the position with relevant experience and expertise in the specified field”.

8. PWBD candidates applying against UR vacancies are allowed age relaxation and other relaxations as per the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016.

Selection Process :
1. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a practical/written test to be held in Delhi latest by January 2022

2. The shortlisted candidate shall be tested for typing skills, written and communication skills (both Hindi and English), drafting letters, short-hand, general information about RTI, Central Government Rules etc.

3. Shortlisted outstation candidates will be paid AC- III tier rail fare on production of tickets by the shortest route
