Under the provisions of The Apprentices Act, 1961, Director, Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE), Bengaluru invites online applications from eligible candidates for Graduate / Diploma / ITI (Engineering) and General Stream - B.Com. / B.Sc. / B.A (Non Engineering) Apprenticeship Training for the Financial Year 2022-23 as per details below :-
1. Post Name: Graduate Apprentice (B.E./B.Tech./ Equivalent in following disciplines)

3. Minimum Qualification: A degree in engineering or technology granted by a statutory University/ by an institution empowered to award such degrees by an Act of Parliament
1. Post Name: Technician (Diploma) Apprentice in following Engg. disciplines)
2. Total Vacancies: 20
3. Minimum Qualification:
(i) A diploma in engineering or technology granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Educational established by a State Government / by a University / by an Institute recognised by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to a diploma.
(ii) Sandwich course student who is undergoing training in order that he/ she may hold a diploma in Engg./Technology.

3. Minimum Qualification:
(i) A certificate in vocational Course involving two years of study after the completion of the secondary stage of school education recognised by the All India Council for Technical education.
(ii) A sandwich course student who is undergoing training in order that he may hold a certificate mentioned in (i) above.

4. Stipend : Candidates finally selected for the Apprenticeship Training would be eligible for stipend as given below as per Govt. of India rules:
a. Engineering Stream
Graduate Apprentice (B.E./B.Tech./Eqvt.) : Rs.9000/-per month
Diploma Apprentice : Rs.8000/-per month
ITI Apprentice : Rs.7000/-per month
b. Non Engineering - General Stream
Graduate Apprentice (B.Com./ B.Sc. / B.A) : Rs.9000/-per month

Important Instructions:
1. The engagement and training will be strictly in accordance with Apprentices Act, 1961, Apprenticeship Rules and its amendments from time to time and there is no obligation for employment of apprentices on completion of their training.
2. The tenure of the Apprenticeship for the above categories /trades would be 12 months commencing from execution of the contract of Apprenticeship
3. Registration of BE/B.Tech./Diploma (Engineering) & General Stream - B.Com. /B.Sc. /B.A (Non Engineering) candidates on (www.mhrdnats.gov.in) and ITI candidates on Apprenticeship portal (www.apprenticeshipindia.org) is mandatory. Kindly see respective websites for registration. The registration no. is to be uploaded while filling the online application.
4. The above registration no. is liable to be verified at the time of selection / Document verification.
5. For B.E / B.Tech. / Diploma (Engineering) Apprentice Trainees & General Stream - B.Com. /B.Sc. / B.A (Non Engineering) Apprentice Trainees only; Candidates who have passed in the year 2019/2020/2021 (last three years) as regular candidates are only eligible to apply. Candidates who have passed the qualifying exam earlier than 2019 are not eligible.
6. Candidates with higher qualification are not eligible to apply.
7. OBC certificate whose validity has expired would not be accepted for granting concession.
8. ITI Apprentice Trainees only; Candidates must have completed ITI from NCVT or SCVT Board.
9. Applications of those candidates who have appeared in the qualifying examination but whose results have not been declared / available as on the date advertisement will NOT be considered for training
10. Suppression of facts will lead to disqualification, at any stage of the selection process or during the training period.
11. Those candidates who have completed the qualifying examination as regular candidates are only eligible to apply.
12. Selection of candidates from SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EWS category would be as per Apprenticeship Rules.
13. PWD candidates are eligible only for the designated trades as per Apprenticeship Rules.
14. Candidates who have already undergone Apprenticeship Training or at present undergoing Apprenticeship Training under any organization are not eligible to apply.
15. Candidates with more than one year work experience are not eligible to apply.
16. No TA/DA shall be given to the candidates for interview / Document verification / joining GTRE as Apprentice Trainees.
17. The Apprentice Trainees will not be provided any quarters / hostel accommodation by this establishment at the time of interview and also during the training period
Selection Procedure
1. Graduate Apprentice Trainees (B.E / B.Tech. / Equivalent); Diploma Apprentice Trainees / ITI Apprentice Trainees / General Stream (B.Com. / B.Sc. / B.A) Apprentice Trainees: Depending upon the vacancies available in various disciplines, selection of candidates will be carried out by short listing on the basis of Academic Merit/Written Test/Interview as required, subject to satisfactory verification of the documents
2. Details of shortlisted candidates will be published in DRDO website. Candidates are advised to check regularly on the website for updates.
How to Apply
1. Applications are to be submitted online through the following website/link: rac.gov.in or drdo.gov.in (‘What’s New’ section)
2. Candidates are requested to fill up correct details against all the fields along with uploading of scanned copies of all the mandatory documents (as per list).
3. The marks obtained in the qualifying exam are to be mentioned in percentage. In case of CGPA, candidates are requested to convert the CGPA into percentage as per their university norms and the same will be verified during document verification.
4. Candidates are required to bring a signed printout of the application along with the originals of the documents submitted online at the time of joining at GTRE, Bengaluru.
5. Online Applications after the last date would NOT be accepted. Incomplete or partially filled application forms would not be accepted.
6. Important Dates :
a. Last date of submission of online application forms duly completed in all respects: 14th March 2022
b. Publishing of First list of shortlisted candidates for interview/written test in DRDO website: 25th March 2022
c. Acceptance by candidates to join GTRE as Apprenticeship Trainee: 31st March 2022
