Job Location: Across India

Qualification Details: 
1. Post Name & Pay: Scientist 'B' in DRDO in Level-10 (71h CPC) of the Pay Matrix (Rs. 56,100/-) in specified disciplines and categories. Total emoluments (inclusive of HRA and all other allowances) at the time of joining will be approximately Rs. 80,000/- p.m. at the present metro city rate.

2. Discipline & Qualification: 

a. Electronics &  Comm. Engg - At least First Class Bachelor's Degree  in Engineering or Technology in Electronics & Communication Engg from a recognized university or  equivalent.

b. Computer Science  & Engg - At least First Class Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology in Science & 2. Computer Science and Engg./Technology & Engg Computer Science & Engg from a  recognized university or equivalent.

# (a) Students appearing/appeared in final year/semester examination and expecting to achieve first class after final examination may also apply with the condition to submit the degree/provisional degree certificate on or before 31 July 2018.
(b) Candidates having their essential qualification degree from foreign universities should obtain equivalence certificate from 'Association of Indian Universities, Delhi' and submit the same on or before 31July2018. @ GATE: Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (*) marked Subject/Discipline is the one in which DIVYANG - Orthopaedic Handicapped (OH) can apply.

3. Training: All selected Scientist s 'B' for DRDO may be required to initially undergo a full t ime Post Induction Training at DIAT Pune/ ITM Mussoorie.

4. Liability to Serve : As per the Central Government Rules, selected candidates will have the liability to serve anywhere in India including remote/ field area locations.

Age: Un Reserved (UR) - Not exceeding 28 years, OBC (Non-creamy layer) - SC/ST - Not exceeding 33 years

Application Fee: General and OBC male candidates are required to pay a non-refundable non- transferable application fee of~ 100/- (Rs. One Hundred only) payable online only. There is no application fee for SC/ST/DIVYANG and women candidates.

General Instructions:
1. Those applications which are not locked/ finalised by the candidates in accordance with the instructions will be automatically rejected by t he computer system and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard. Therefore candidates are advised to Submit/ Finalise the Application carefully and enclose all necessary documents as applicable.

2 .The applicants should ensure their eligibility in respect of age, essential qualifications etc. No request with respect to the change in any data submitted by t he candidates will be entertained once the Closing Date of online submission is over.  The OBC (Non-creamy Layer) candidates are required to submit requisite certificate in prescribed format of Government of India, from a competent authority. The certificate must have been issued on or after 01 Apr 2018 and must be valid through the Financial Year 2018-19. The number of vacancies for any subject may vary.

3. Detailed guidelines for submission of online application are available on RAC website ( https://rac.gov .in). vii) Translation ambiguity, if any, can be resolved to the English version of the advertisement published in the Employment News. viii) Dispute, if any, will be subject to the courts/ tribunals having jurisdiction over Delhi only.

Important Dates:
a. Online application submission link is available at RAC website (https://rac.gov.in)
b. Online submi ssion closes on 21st day at 1700 Hrs (IST) from t he date of publication of Advertisement in the Employment News. Candidates are advised to keep visit ing RAC website (https://rac.gov.in) for updates issued from time to t ime.

Selection Procedure:
1. The shortlisted candidates will be required to appear in the personal interview to be held at Delhi or any other place as decided by RAC/ DRDO. Shortlisted candidates shall be able to download their interview call letter along with date/venue of personal interview and other relevant documents through the candidate login obtained after successful registration. Intimation in this regard shall be sent as SMS on the registered mobile number of the candidate. Candidate may please note that the Interview call letter will not be sent by post/courier. ii) Candidates serving in Govt or in Govt owned organisations will be required to produce "NOC" from their respective Department/Employer at the time of interview failing which candidate will not be allowed to appear for the interview.

2. The final selection of the candidates will be purely on the basis of discipline wise category wise merit of aggregate of 80% weightage of GATE score and 20% weightage of marks in personal interview. For consideration for selection, a candidate appearing in Personal Interview need to secure minimum qualifying marks of 70% for General candidates and 60% for OBC/SC/ST/DIVYANG candidates.In addition to the above, any other selection tool/test may be administered, at t he sole discretion of t he RAC.

How to Apply:
1. Candidates are required to submit their application online along with legible file(s) containing scanned copies of certificates regarding Date of Birth (DOB), essential and higher educational qualification along with percentage of marks (duly supported by the mark-sheets), experience claimed, if any, in the column pertaining to employment history of online application, a recent passport size colour photograph (size not exceeding 30 KB; resolution of 110 x 140 pixels) and the details of required application fee through RAC website. The maximum file size of each attachment should not exceed 500 KB and it must be legible when a printout is taken.

2. All candidates, whether in Govt. service or in Govt. owned organisations, should also submit their applications on line directly to the Recruitment and Assessment Centre (RAC) and such candidates are required to upload a signed declaration (as per the proforma available at RAC website) that they have informed their Cadre Controlling Authority (CCA) in writing, that they have applied for the post in DRDO. However, such candidates, if in regular service whether in permanent or temporary capacity, will be required to produce a "No Objection Certificate" (NOC) from their CCA as per the proforma available at RAC website at the time of interview, in addition to the aforesaid declaration. If CCA considers withholding the NOC, the candidate should inform RAC within 30 days of the closing date.

3. Candidates are advised to retain a copy of the online recruitment application (pdf format) along with Acknowledgement Slip generated after locking of on line application form.  Only locked/ finalised applications shall be considered.
