1. Pay Scale: Senior Residents: Rs. 15,600-39100+GP 6600+NPA (if applicable)
2. Essential Qualifications:
a. An MCI/UGC recognized postgraduate medical degree viz. MD/MS/DNB in the respective discipline from a recognized University/Institute. An MCI/UGC recognized postgraduate medical degree viz. MD/MS/DNB in the respective discipline from a recognized University/Institute.DM in Neurology, Nephrology & Cardiology can also apply for General Medicine. M.Ch in Burn & Plastic Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Surgical Oncology, Surgical Gastroenterology, and Paediatric surgery can also apply for General Surgery. Trauma & Emergency Medicine: postgraduate medical degree viz MD(Medicine) or MD(Emergency Medicine) from a recognized University/Institute.
b. For non-medical candidates in Anatomy & Microbiology, the candidate should possess M.Sc. Degree in the subject concerned and Ph.D. from a recognized University/Institute.
3. The appointments for the posts of Senior Residents shall be for a maximum period of 3 years as per the Residency Scheme 1992, Govt. of India.Tenure:

37 years, relaxable for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe candidate up to a maximum period of five (5) years, for OBC candidates up to a maximum period of three (3) years.

1. The prescribed qualification is minimum and merely possessing the same does not entitle any candidate for selection. Leave: The appointees shall be granted leave in accordance with the instructions issued by the Government of India from time to time. Private practice of any type is prohibited, for the Senior Resident & Junior Resident, in case of selection.
