2. Qualification: 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board/University and OR 10th pass+ Course completed Act Apprentices/lTl passed candidates in any trade. NOTE: Act Apprenticeship/ITI in any trade is the only qualification and no other qualification including Diploma in Engineering should be accepted as an alternative qualification on the ground of being a higher qualification in the same line of training.

3. Minimum Sports norms for Recruitment: Represented the Country in any of the following Championships/events
(i) World Cup (Junior/Senior category)
(ii) World Championships (Junior/Senior Category)
(iii) Asian Games (Senior Category)
(iv) Commonwealth Games (Senior Category) OR At least 3rd Position in All India Inter-University Championship organized under the aegis of Association of Indian Universities OR 1st Position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category).

(i) In Athletics(Men): Medal winning performance in the National Inter-State Senior Athletics Championship will also be considered for recruitment in posts carrying Grade Pay Rs. 1900/- in PB-1.
(ii) In the game of Wrestling (FS/ GR) trails shall be conducted as per weight categories of Senior National Championships. In the case of any difference in weight categories of Senior Nationals and other recognized championship I event, sports person having performance in the weight category which is closest to the notified weight category, shall be eligible for recruitment and selection trails, subject to the condition that on the day of trial, actual body weight of said wrestler should not exceed the weight category for which recruitment is being done.
(iii) In the game of Hockey, at least 2nd position in the International Tournament of Four or more Nations may also be considered for recruitment.
(iv) In the game of Basketball, the medal-winning performance in the events organized by Basketball Federation of India after 26/07/2017 may be considered for recruitment.

Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 01/07/2019.

Application Fee:
For all candidates except those Rs. 500/- (Rs. Five Hundred Only) mentioned in sub-para (ii) below, For candidates belonging to SC/ ST I Ex. Servicemen I Persons with Disability I Women I Minorities and Economic Backward Class: Rs. 250/- (Rs. Two Hundred Fifty Only) with a provision for refunding the same to those who are found eligible as per notification and actually appear in the Selection Trials. Candidates in this category should check their eligibility thoroughly before applying. Fee in respect of candidates who are ineligible, but still apply shall not be refunded.

Selection Process:
The eligible candidates will be informed by post for trial. Recruitment will be done on the basis of Trial. The candidates declared fit by Trial Committee will be considered for the next stage i.e. Interview stage.

How to Apply:
(1) Application in the prescribed format on A-4 size good quality paper may be downloaded from the website may be typed neat & clean one side.
(2) Application is to be filled up by the candidates himself in his/her own handwriting and must sign affixing a passport size photograph with a clear face on the space provided and one should be attached duly attested.
(3) The applicant will attach the attested. photocopies of Educational and Sports achievements certificates. SC/ST/OBC candidates should also attach the attested copy of caste certificate on proper format.
(4) Candidates to ensure their eligibility before applying:- The candidates should ensure that they fulfill all eligibility conditions prescribed for the post. Eligibility of the candidates for the post notified in this notification would be decided on the basis of the information furnished by them. If at any stage of recruitment or thereafter, it is found that any information furnished by the candidate in his/her application is false/incorrect or the candidate has suppressed any relevant information or the candidate otherwise does not satisfy the eligibility criteria for the post(s), his/her candidature will be cancelled forthwith.
(5) Railway Administration will not be responsible for late delivery and postal delay.
(6) The last date & time for receipt of application in the office of the General Manager (Personnel) Recruitment Cell, Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala-144 602 is dated 24-06-2019 up to 17.00 hrs.
(7). Candidate superscribes clearly on the Envelope "Recruitment Against Sports Quota For The Year 2019-20".
(8) The application should be sent by ordinary post. Applications sent through registered post/ Courier/ by Registered AD will not be accepted.
(9) Railway Administration reserve the right to cancel the Recruitment process in exceptional circumstances.
(10) Under no circumstances, applications received after the closing date & time will be entertained.
(11) The sportspersons appointed against Sports Quota through Open Advertisement will undergo probation periods of two years after completion of training if any.
(12) The sportspersons recruited against Sports Quota through Open Advertisement will have to fill and sign the Service Bond for a period of five years.
(13) The sportspersons appointed through Open Advertisement Quota shall fulfill the minimum medical norms for the post, for which they will be appointed.
(14) Sportspersons recruited against sports quota through open advertisement shall be terminated from service, if the information and documents furnished by them for recruitment, are found incorrect/fake at any stage; observing the requisite procedure for such termination.
(15) Applicant should mention his/her playing position along with the game in the application form.
(16) Candidate those who are already in service of PSU/Govt Organizations and are eligible for the above should produce "No Objection Certificate" for the same from their employer at the time of applying/trials.
(17) Candidate's admission at all stages of the recruitment will be purely Provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. Mere issue of call letters to the candidate will not imply that his candidature has been finally cleared.
(18) Sportspersons having sports norms for higher level and apply against the vacancies for the lower level, can be considered. However, he/she will not claim for a higher level after joining the Railways on the basis of sports achievements prior to joining Railways.
(19) The decision of selection committee/ administration in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the application, etc. will be final and binding on the candidates and no inquiry or correspondence will be entertained in this connection.
(20) Production of original documents of Date of birth, Educational Qualification, Sports Achievement, and SC/ST/OBC, etc on the day of Trial and Interview is mandatory without which they will not be allowed to appear in the Trial/Interview. Certificates in languages other than English or Hindi should be accompanied by an attested translation in English/Hindi. No TA/DA/Accommodation will be given for appearing in the selection trials I interview. Applicants will have to bring their own kit. They may also be required to stay during the selection trials for 2-3 days, for which they have to make their own arrangements. The railway administration has all rights reserved to fix any date/place or postpone trials/interview or cancel due to unforeseen causes against which no claim will be accepted.
