Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory Commission Jobs Recruitment Notification 2020.JSERC inviting applications for the positions of Electricity Ombudsman.Interested and Eligible candidates can apply for the positions.

Post and Vacancies:
Electricity Ombudsman - 01 Post

Qualification Details:
1. Posts: Electricity Ombudsman

2. The candidate shall have not less than 25 years of experience in the relevant field having held a post of atleast Chief Engineer/District Judge/Director/ Joint Secretary.

3. The candidate shall be persons of ability, integrity and standing who have adequate knowledge of and have shown capacity in dealing with the problems relating to Electrical Engineering/Law/Finance/Administration.

Age:
The tenure of the Ombudsman shall be for five years from the date of his appointment as Ombudsman or until the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier.

Applications are invited for appointment to the post of Electricity Ombudsman:
1. As per the provision of Electricity Act 2003 and JSERC (Guidelines for Establishment of Forum for Redressal of Grievances of the Consumers and Electricity Ombudsman) Regulation 2011, the Commission needs to appoint an Electricity Ombudsman. The applicant for Electricity Ombudsman should possess the following qualifications and experience: a) The candidate shall be persons of ability, integrity and standing who have adequate knowledge of and have shown capacity in dealing with the problems relating to Electrical Engineering/Law/Finance/Administration. b) The candidate shall have not less than 25 years of experience in the relevant field having held a post of atleast Chief Engineer/District Judge/Director/ Joint Secretary. c) Desirable to have experience of working in Consumers’ Grievance Redressal system. d) The minimum age of the candidate to be considered for appointment as Electricity Ombudsman shall be 50 years as on 1st August, 2020.

2. The Ombudsman of the Commission shall be appointed on Full time basis to discharge exclusively the function of the Electricity Ombudsman and he shall not hold any other post or undertake any other work.

3. The tenure of the Ombudsman shall be for five years from the date of his appointment as Ombudsman or until the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier.

4. The Electricity Ombudsman will be paid last pay drawn minus pension. Provided that in the case of Ombudsman not getting pension, the monthly honorarium payable to such Ombudsman shall be equal to the last pay drawn.

5. The candidates will have to furnish the following information through their employer organization which they are/were serving along with NOC together with the following documents/information latest by 30th October 2020. a) Up-to-date and complete ACR (atleast for last 10 years) b) Vigilance clearance certificate. c) i) Whether any penalty has been imposed on the applicant in the past; ii) If so, give details. iii) Indicate if any penalty is in operation against the applicant as on date.

6. The candidates can apply directly to the undersigned through registered/speed post on or before 30th October 2020 along with full bio-data and copy of degree on the basis of which he is applying.

7. The second copy of the application should be sent to the undersigned through the employer/last employer on or before 30th October 2020 with the above mentioned documents.

8. The crucial date for determination of eligibility of applicants for the post of Ombudsman will be 1st August, 2020.

9. The terms and conditions for the services of Electricity Ombudsman is under process of legislation as such new appointees will be guided by the new Regulation.

10.The application received after last date will not be considered. 

11.Incomplete application or submitted in different format are liable to be summarily rejected. The Commission reserves the right to not consider the applications if found incomplete in any respect.

12.The decision of the Commission shall be final and binding on all concerned and no communication shall be entertained.

13.The Commission also reserves the right not to fill above post without assigning any reason. In the case of such eventuality, the notice of such vacancy shall be treated as cancelled.
