ONGC Jobs Recruitment Notification 2020.Oil and Natural Gas Corporation inviting applications for the positions of Contract Medical Officer.Interested and Eligible candidates can apply for the positions.

Job Location - Dehradun

Qualification Details:

1. Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), a “Maharatna” Public Sector Enterprise, and India’s flagship energy major engaged in Exploration and Production of Oil and Gas in India and abroad, intends to engage Medical Officers-Field Duty on contract basis at its Rig-E-2000-VIII of Frontier Basin which may be located anywhere in India on a consolidated honorarium.

2. The list of posts, qualifications required and the honorarium to be paid are mentioned in table A below. The period of contract shall be upto 30.06.2022. The job is purely on contract basis and does not carry any liability on the part of ONGC to grant regular appointment at any stage.

a. Post: Medical Officer (Field Duty)

b. No. of Vacancies with Applicable Reservation: 02 (UR )

c. Qualification: MBBS with Valid registration at State Medical Council or Medical Council of India

d. Fixed Honorarium per Month: Rs.75,000/-

3. Out of total 02 vacancies, 01 selected candidate will be able to join immediately. The other selected candidate will be able to join from 01.01.2021 or as decided by ONGC administration whichever is earlier.

Note:

i. The Candidate must possess the essential prescribed qualifications as well as a valid registration with the concerned statutory authority (wherever applicable) on or before the day of interview. Experience is desirable.

ii. Nomenclature of qualifications shall be as prescribed by UGC/ Medical Council of India. 

iii. Qualifications equivalent to the one prescribed in this advertisement including equivalent qualifications acquired from a foreign university will not be accepted.

iv. Where the posts specified in this advertisement are not reserved for any category(ies), a reserved category candidate can also apply, provided he/she fulfills the criteria specified for the post. However, he/she shall be treated at par with Unreserved category candidates.

Age: There is no maximum age limit for eligibility.

General Instructions:

i. Engagement is purely temporary on contract basis for a period up to 30.06.2022. Contract tenure will commence from the date of joining.

ii. Engagement on contract would be subject to medical fitness.

iii. Selected candidates shall be required to sign a contract agreement as per the terms and conditions of ONGC. The contract shall end on expiry of the prescribed period and no separate notice shall be required to be given.

iv. The contract can be terminated at any time by giving one month’s notice, by either side.

v. No claim for regular employment in ONGC, by virtue of this contractual engagement, shall be entertained at any stage.

vi. Selected candidates will be paid consolidated monthly remuneration as mentioned above.

vii. Twelve days Casual Leave will be granted in a calendar year on a pro-rata basis. One casual leave will be allowed for a month. Maternity leave will be granted to female doctors as per Maternity Benefit Amendment Act, subject to fulfillment of eligibility conditions laid down in the Act.

viii. Candidature/contract of candidate(s) submitting false certificates or suppression/ submission of incorrect information shall be liable for termination/ disqualification/ rejection at any stage.

ix. Only Indian nationals need apply. xi. In case the interview is held in-person, no TA/DA shall be paid for attending the interview. However, interview may be held through online method such as Google Meet/ Zoom Call/ Microsoft Team/ Skype. Candidates will be informed through email/SMS about mode and details of interview.

xi. Interested candidates fulfilling the above conditions should apply for pre-registration and send scanned copies of all certificates including No Objection Certificate (NOC) from existing employer, if any (in case of Govt./ PSU employees).

xii. Candidates selected as Field Medical Officer shall be posted at Drill Site Accommodations of Drill sites (21 /14 days on/off pattern) depending on the requirement of ONGC.

Selection Procedure :

1. Following weightages shall be assigned to different parameters in the selection process:

2. Qualification: 70 marks (60 marks for essential qualification & up to 10 marks for any relevant higher qualifications)

Interview: 30 marks

TOTAL: 100 marks

3. Note:

i. The breakup of 10 marks for such higher qualification shall be considered as follows:

a) Where a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field (M.B.B.S.) is the minimum prescribed qualification, 5 marks shall be given to a Master’s degree in the relevant field (e.g. MD/MS).

b) Further additional 5 marks shall be given to a Post Master’s qualification in the relevant field (e.g. M.Ch/ DM).

ii. The qualification(s) considered for granting additional marks shall need to be in line, for example, an MBA in Hospital Administration shall not be considered as an inline qualification, where M.B.B.S. is the essential qualification.

D. Qualifying marks in the interview shall be 18 marks for UR.

E. Finalization of Merit List

i. Candidates who qualify in the interview shall be empanelled in the Merit List.

ii. Offer of appointment shall be issued to the candidates based on their relative rank in the Merit List prepared on the sum total of marks scored by the candidate in qualification and interview.

iii. In case of a tie in the total marks scored between two or more candidates, then the candidate who scores more marks in interview shall be considered senior. In case there too the marks are equal, then the candidate who is older in age shall be considered senior for issue of offer of appointment.

F. Appointment of selected candidates will be subject to their passing the company’s Medical Examination as per standards laid down under ONGC Medical Examination of Employees Rules, 1996. Details of the rules are available on ONGC’s Website at www.ongcindia.com

How to Apply :

a) Candidates need to pre-register by sending the filled-in application form (in pdf format) along with other relevant documents to the email address HR_FB@ongc.co.in The pre-registration shall remain open from 15.10.2020 to 24.10.2020 The format of the application is given at Annexure -1 of this notification.

b) The following relevant documents required to be sent (in .pdf format only) along with the filled-in application:

i. Educational qualification documents i.e., SSLC, MBBS certificates,

ii. MD/MS Certificates (if applicable),

iii. Medical Council of India/State Council Registration certificate,

iv. Identity proof, Address Proof,

v. No Objection Certificate (NOC) from existing employer, if any (in case of Govt. / PSU employees) and

vi. Experience certificate, if any, in pdf format only.

The candidates are also required to send scanned copy of passport size photograph in .jpg format only. The candidates are advised to mail all the documents & photograph in separate .pdf files (for docs) & .jpg file (for photo) to email address HR_FB@ongc.co.in on or before 24 Oct. 2020. All communications with the candidate shall be through SMS/ email. If required, ONGC may seek additional / other documents after this date also.

c) The shortlisted candidates will be informed through e-mail and SMS about date & time of interview. Candidates are also advised to provide correct information in their online application

d) The electronic mode of interview (Google Meet/ Zoom Call/ Microsoft Team/ Skype) will be intimated to the candidates in advance. However, the candidates are advised to be prepared to give interview in all the medium mentioned here, and to appear in person, if so required by ONGC.

e) Candidates may please ensure that they are fulfilling all the requisite criteria prior to registering, failing which, their candidature is liable to be rejected/ cancelled.
