Qualification Details:
Applications are invited from the eligible candidate upto 07.11.2020 for various posts of Art Teacher, Music Teacher, PET (Male& Female), PGT (Computer Science) and Staff Nurse (Female) purely on contractual basis in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas under Shillong Region for the academic session 2020-2021 upto 31.03.2021 or till joining of regular incumbent whichever is earlier.

3. Essential Qualifications: a. Passed Sr. Secondary Examination (Class XII) or equivalent and b. Grade 'A' (Three years) Diploma/ Certificate in Nursing from recognized Institution. OR B.Sc (Nursing) from a recognized University/ Institution. Registration with Indian/ State Nursing Council. Practical experience of two years in Hospital/ Clinic.
4. Desirable: Working Knowledge of Hindi/ Regional Language and English.
5. Remuneration :- Rs.20,OOO/- pm (Fixed)
Age: Age limit as on 31.10.2020:- not more than 62 years.
General Information:
1. The Contract appointment will be purely on temporary basis up to 31.03.2021 or till joining of regular incumbent whichever is earlier.
2. The services of selected candidates will be utilized in any of the JNVs under Shillong Region.
3. In case of appointment of regular staff/ transfer and joining of regular staff, services of the contract teacher/ personnel, if willing, can be utilized in any of the other JNVs of Shillong Region, where services are required without any extra payment.
4. The contract appointments will automatically stand terminated on expiry of the stipulated or till a regular appointee posted against the particular vacancy joins duty or until further orders, whichever is earlier
5. The contract appointment offered is Purely on contract basis and the contract teachers/ personnel will not have any claim for extension of the Agreement or regularization of service in future.
6. The contract personnel will employ himself/ herself efficiently and diligently and will devote his/her whole time to the duties of the service and will not engage directly or indirectly in any trade, business or occupation on his/ her own account
7. At the termination of the Contract, the Contract personnel is not entitled for any terminal benefits from the Principal or the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.
8. Notwithstanding anything in the Contract, the Principal may terminate the services of the Contract Personnel before the expiry of the contract period or in case:- a) His/her work is found unsatisfactory. b) If his/her conduct is found to be unbecoming of a Govt. Servant and unsuitable a Co-educational residential Institution.
9. The Contract personnel have to stay in the Vidyalaya campus.
10.The contract personnel is entitled for rent free bachelor accommodation within the Vidyalaya campus if and as available and is entitled for free meals along with the students. 10. The Contract personnel will have to perform duties in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya at par with the regular staff and as per the directions given by Principal.
11. In case the regular incumbent joins during contract period, one month remuneration will not be paid to the contractual staff.
12. Remuneration to the contractual staff are mentioned below: a) PGTs - Rs. 32,500/- PM. b) TGTs - Rs. 31,250/- PM. c) Staff Nurse - Rs.20,OOO/- PM
13. Candidates should report at the place of allotment with original certificates, mark sheets and with a set of self-attested Photostat copies of the same, experience certificate and one recent passport size photograph and identifications proof like Voter ID, Aadhaar Card or identity card issued by Govt. Schools and college, caste certificate, etc.
14. The candidates offered contract appointment will have to execute a Contract Agreement on Rs. 50/-(Rupees fifty only) Non-Judicial Stamp on the prescribed format of contract agreement before the Principal of the respective J N Vs.
15. Retired teacher's upto the age of 65 years may be engaged subject to their fitness and willingness.

Selection Procedure :
Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in interview (virtual) and weightage on academic qualifications as per the details given below.
For the post of PGT (Computer Science) & Creative Teachers
1. Marks for subject knowledge, communication skill and teaching ability, personality and General awareness is to be decided on common consensus through virtual interview by selection board as indicated Subject Knowledge-5 marks,Teaching abilities/ teaching pedagogy -05 marks,Personality & general awareness 05 marks,Communication skill 05 marks,Total 20 Marks
2. Virtual Interview will be conducted to prepare the panel. 3. Weightage for academic qualification will be calculated by the checking and verification board based on the following guidelines:-
3.Post Graduate Teachers (Computer Science). Weight age for Academic Qualification for PGT (Computer Science) will be given as shows below:-
4.Marks for essential qualification (out of 40 marks) i.e. 40% of the percentage obtained 40 marks,Marks for B.Ed (out of 10 marks) i.e. 10% of the percentage I obtained 10 Marks,Weightage for NET/PhD/M.P hil as the case may be (total 10 marks) i.e. 10 marks for any one of the above qualification. 10 Marks,Experience-02 marks for each completed session of experience in Residential School run by a Govt./Autonomous Body - Maximum 20 marks (more than six months service in an academic session will be treated as full session for the purpose of granting 02 marks for experience) 20 Marks
5.Method for awarding marks (weight age) on the basis of academic qualification.
6.For PGT (Computer Marks obtained at PG level (essential qualification) in the concerned subject will be Science) seen and maximum 400/0 marks are to be awarded based on the percentage acquired. For example if candidate having 90% marks appeared in the interview he/ she will be allotted 36 marks.
7.Creative Teachers.Marks for essential qualification on (out of 40 Marks) i.e.40% of the percentage e obtained Marks of Next Higher Qualification (out of 15 marks) i.e. 15% of the percentage obtained,Award at the State/ National/ inte I rnational level. 51 level: State marks National Level: 10 | marks International level: 15 marks,Experience- ()2 marks for each completed session of experience in a Residential School run by a Govt./Autonomous Body - Maximum 10 marks (more than six months service in an academic session will be treated as full session for the purpose of granting 02 marks for experience)-40 Marks 15 Marks 15 Marks 10 Marks
8.Staff Nurse:1. 10.The Cut-Off date for determining various eligibility criteria (Educational Qualifications, Age Limit, Experience etc.) for candidates will be 31.10.2020. Applicants must satisfy about their eligibility as on Cut Off date before applying.The verification of eligibility conditions with reference of original documents will be done by the concerned Principal where they will be engaged contractual basis.
