Qualification Details:

Oil India Limited (OIL), a Navratna Public Sector Undertaking is the pioneering and second largest national upstream Oil and Gas Company with a pan India presence and growing global footprint. Oil India Limited (OIL) invite applications from eligible candidates for the following positions in work person category at Oil India Limited (OIL), Rajasthan Field, Jodhpur as per details given below:

1. Name of the Post: Jr. Engineer-I (Civil)

2. No of Post: 01

3. Scale of Pay: Grade - VIII, Rs.17,000-38,000/-

4. Educational Qualification: 3 year Diploma in Civil Engineering from Govt. recognized University or Institute. Six months Diploma / Certificate in Computer Application and should be fully conversant with MS Office

Age:
As on 20/01/2021: General: Minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years, sc/st: Minimum 18 years and maximum 35 years, Persons with Bench mark Disability / Ex-Servicemen: As per Government Directives

Application Fee: Non Refundable Registration Fees of Rs. 200/- (excluding bank charges and GST etc.) will be charged from the candidates belonging to General and OBC category only.

Selection Procedure :
Selection process shall consist of Stage-I: Computer Based Test (CBT) and Stage- II: Skill & Proficiency Test. However, in respect of some posts, Stage-II test will not be held.

Stage- I: Computer Based Test (CBT):

1. The type/ mode of questions will be in a multiple choice question (MCQ) format and the answers are to be submitted online/computer interface at the assigned Test Centre.

2. Total marks in the CBT will be 100, with one (01) mark for each correct answer. 3. There will be negative marking in CBT, 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

4. CBT will be bilingual i.e. English & Hindi.

5. Total duration of the test will be 02(two) hours.

6. Person with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) may opt for Scribe as per Govt. Directives. In such case compensatory time of 40 minutes (i.e. 20 minutes per hour) shall be given.

7. To qualify in Computer Based Test (CBT) a Candidate has to secure minimum 50% marks (40% for SC, ST and PwBD).

Stage- II: Skill & proficiency Test:

1. For the posts of Junior Assistant-I (Clerk cum Computer Operator) and Sr. Assistant-I (Hindi Translator), candidate has to secure minimum qualifying marks in Computer Based Test (CBT) to be called for Skill & Proficiency Test.

2. However, merely securing qualifying marks in Computer Based Test (CBT) will not make candidate(s) eligible to appear in Skill & Proficiency Test. Candidate(s) will be shortlisted for Skill & Proficiency Test based in the order of merit in CBT in the ratio of 1:2 [i.e. for one vacancy, two candidates will be shortlisted in the order of merit in CBT with due cognizance to number of reserved posts].

3. After applying the criteria for shortlisting for Skill & Proficiency Test as given in 5.2(ii) above, if there is a tie of scores of two or more candidates in Computer Based Test (CBT), then all candidates with the tied marks in the Computer Based Test (CBT) shall be shortlisted for Skill & Proficiency Test.

4. Skill & Proficiency Test will be of qualifying nature and will not carry weightage. The pass marks to qualify in Skill & Proficiency Test is Minimum 50% (Fifty Percent). The candidate who fails to secure minimum 50%( Fifty Percent) marks in Skill & Proficiency Test shall not qualify for final selection. The final Merit List shall prepared in order of merit based on Computer Based Test (CBT) marks of those candidate(s) who qualify in Skill & Proficiency Test.

5. In case all the Candidate(s) are found to be UNFIT or the number of Candidate(s) who have qualified in the Skill & Proficiency Test are less than the number- of notified vacancy, then the next Candidate(s) in order of merit in CBT, as available as per the ratio 1:2 who have qualified in the CBT shall be called for Skill & Proficiency Test. This process will repeated till such time all vacancies are filled up, subject to availability of qualified Candidate(s).

Final Merit List: The final Merit List shall be prepared in order of merit based on Computer Based Test (CBT) marks. If in the final merit list for selection, the total marks in CBT of more than one candidate who are in the zone of vacancy(ies) are same, then the candidate who scores more marks in Part-C(Domain or Relevant to subject knowledge) of CBT shall be given preference. In case the marks in Part-C are same, then the candidate who scores more marks in Part-B (Reasoning, Arithmetic/ Numerical & Mental Ability) of CBT shall be given preference. In case the marks in Part- B are also same then the marks in Part-A will also be same. In such event, the candidate older in age shall be given preference in the merit list.

How to Apply :
1. Candidate(s) fulfilling the above criteria would be required to apply online through the link available on the Oil India Limited website (https://www.oil- india.com/Current openNew.aspx) from 21/12/2020, 10:00AM to 20/01/2021, 11.59 PM (Midnight).

2. A candidate can apply against ONE post only.

3. Candidates should read the instructions carefully and fill the online application form giving correct, complete and accurate information. After successful registration, system will generate a unique registration number. Candidate(s) are required to keep the print out of the registration slip which will be generated by the system.

4. Eligibility of candidate(s) will be based on the details provided by the candidate as per the prescribed Application Forrn. Hence, it is necessary that applicants should furnish only accurate, full and correct information in the prescribed Online Application Form. Applications incomplete in any respect will summarily rejected. Furnishing wrong/ false information shall lead to disqualification of the application.
