Junior Research Fellow - 1 Post
Qualification Details:
1. Applications are invited for one post of Junior Research fellow (JRF) in a Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology (DST), sponsored research project entitled "Assessing the impact of salinity on phosphate solubilizing microbes for sustainable mitigation of phosphorus deficiency in saline soils" (Project NO. P-07/716).
2. The sanctioned duration of the project three years of which only 13 months are left. The post is temporary and is co-terminus with the project.
3. Essential Qualifications: The candidate should have M.SC. degree in Environmental Science/ Biotechnology/Microbiology/Plant Biotechnology, with at least 55% marks. Candidate must have qualified NET/GATE or equivalent examination.
4. Desirable Qualification: Candidate with one year or more research experience in relevant area will be given preference.
5. Age and Emoluments: The upper age limit for JRF is 28 years, which is relaxable by 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped/Female candidates. All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules.
6. The fellowship for JRF is 31 ,000/- pm + HRA (as per rules).
