Education Qualification :
Three Vacancies Are Available For The Following Posts Of Senior Residents In Cardiac Unit Of Railway Hospital, Perambur, Chennai.

3. Minimum Educational Qualification:
a) Post Graduate Degree /DM/DNB or Diploma in the specialty concerned from university recognized by State /Central Government.
b) If such candidates are not available in particular speciality, then candidates without PG qualification but having at least three years experience after MBBS out of which one year junior residency in Government Hospital or MCI recognized private hospitals in the speciality concern can be considered for a period of one year only subject to the condition that fresh selection process has to be done by end of one year.
c) Extension for another year will be allowed to these MBBS doctors with three years experience if again no candidate with diploma/PG/DNB/DM applies. The total period of such extension will be limited to three years of total senior residency as in senior residency scheme.
4. Tenure of Senior Residency: The contract of appointment of Senior Residence will be one year but the total period Senior Residency can not exceed the maximum period of three years, subject to renewal / extension every year. The termination of contract can be done on one month notice or pay from either side.
5. Emoluments:
a) For Senior Residents having post graduate degree Basic Pay + NPA Rs.67700 + 20% NPA in the first year Rs.69700 + 20% NPA in the second year Rs.71800 + 20% NPA in the third year
b) For Senior Residents with only PG Diploma the above amount shall be reduced by Rs.325/- per month and the same will be reduced by Rs.650/- per month if without Diploma / PG Degree.
c) For Senior Residents who are pursuing DNB training also, the emoluments will be fixed by National Board of Examination or as above which ever is higher.
6. Leave entitlements: One day weekly off by rotation, Entitled to total 20 days leave in one contract year which can be availed as not more than 10 in six months period. Not entitled to any vacation or any other type of leave.
Age:
33 years for those having Post Graduate qualification, 35 years for Post-Doctoral Degree holders. Relaxation of age limit from 33 to 40 years will be considered only if there is no candidate or applicant who satisfy the laid down age limit of 33/35 years (PG/DM)
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Duties and responsibilities of the Senior Residents will be as fixed by the Railway administration from time to time.
2. They will be required to perform any work as may be needed in the legitimate interest of Railway administration including National Programmes or during Railway accidents, in addition to their speciality work.
3. The Senior Resident Doctors will be required to be on call duty not exceeding 12 hours / day.
4. No private practice shall be permitted
