Notification for inviting applications for oneyear Apprenticeship Training from ITI passed candidates under the Apprentices Act 1961(amended) and NAPS (National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme) at the different establishments of WCL.

4. Candidates willing to apply for Trade Apprenticeship training in any one of the establishment of WCL will be required to submit online Web-Application Form attached with this notification within the prescribed time period in the official. website of WCL (www.westerncoal.in). No other Mode of Application shall be accepted.

6. Eligibility:
i. Candidates should possess educational qualification as indicated in the above from Institute recognized by NCVT/SCVT.
ii. Candidate should have Physical fitness as per the Mines Rules 1955.
iii. Candidate should fulfil all provisions of the Apprentices Act 1961.
iv. Candidates should have an Aadhar Card.
v. Candidates should have a valid Saving Bank Account number with the same details as mentioned in their educational certificate and domicile certificate.
vi. Candidates should have registered at the apprenticeship training portal.
7. The Apprentice will be paid monthly consolidated stipend amount as per the Gazette notification of the Government of India under the Apprenticeship Act 1992 (amended). At present the rate of stipend is as follows:
i. One ear's ITI SCVT/NCVT: Rs 7700/- Per month
ii. Two year's ITI ( SCVT/NCVT): Rs 8050/- per month
8. Period of Apprenticeship Training shall be 12 months commencing from the date of the Contract of Apprenticeship.
Age:
Period of Apprenticeship Training shall be 12 months commencing from the date of the Contract of Apprenticeship.
General Instructions:
1. Before applying in WCL website, the candidate should ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility criteria and other norms mentioned in the notification and the Apprentice's Act and has enrolled in apprenticeship portal.
2. All notifications to candidates shall be done through establishment official website or his registered e-mail address. Responsibility of receiving, downloading and printing of any notification shall be of the candidates.
3. The establishment shall not be responsible for any loss of e-mail sent due to invalid [wrong E-Mail ID provided by the candidates or delivery of E-Mails to SPAM / BULK mail folder etc.
4. Any request for change of mailing address /caste category / discipline qualification once declared during registration on the apprenticeship / WCL web portal will not be entertained.
5. Verification of credentials shall be done prior to final selection and in case any deviation or non-conformity with the desired eligibility criteria, the candidature of the candidate shall be summarily rejected
6. Failure by the candidate to attend the document verification process on the prescribed date & time at the venue would be treated as his unwillingness to accept the selection procedure forthe Trade Apprentice at establishment and such candidates will not be considered in further selection procedure.
7. No application for altering the date, time and venue for document verification will be considered: Candidates belonging to reserve categories shall produce valid certificates for SC/ST/OBC (NCL), in the prescribed format issued by the Competent Authority applicable for jobs, valid on the date of verification.
8. No TA / DA will be paid to applicants called for document verification process and for any stage of engagement process as Apprentice.
9. Suppression of facts will lead to disqualification, if found at any stage of the selection processor during the Apprenticeship period.
10. Candidature of candidates is liable to be rejected at any stage of the selection process or even after execution of the Contract of Apprenticeship, if any information provided by the candidate during the registration on apprenticeship portal and in WCL online platform is found to be false or is found not in conformity with the eligibility criteria so mentioned in the advertisement and Apprentice's Act.
11. Any canvassing or personal follow up with an intention of influencing the process of selection of apprenticeship training by and/or on behalf of any candidate shall lead to immediate cancellation of candidature.
12. WCL reserves the right to change the number of seats and / or cancel/ restrict/ modify the engagement process of apprentices, if required without issuing any further notice or assigning any reason.
13. WCL does not give any commitment / assurance on providing permanent / temporary employment to Apprentices on successful completion of Apprenticeship period.
14. Selected Candidates shall be engaged as an apprentice at different units of WCL belonging to the concerned establishment. No accommodation, food etc. will be provided.
15. An apprentice shall be entitled to such leave and holidays as are observed in the establishment h which he is undergoing training.
Selection Procedure :
1. Candidate shall have only one choice of establishment of WCL to apply in the trade available in such establishment. Selection of Candidate in each trade shall be made by the concerned establishment separately.
2. Scrutiny of applications, Document Verification, Medical Examination etc. shall be carried out or arranged by the concerned establishment only hence all communications in this regards shall be made by the concerned establishment only. Process of selection shall be as below:
3. Candidates who are domicile of the district, where establishment is situated, shall be given first preference in each establishment during selection.
4. Candidates from other district of concerned State shall be given second preference and candidates outside concerned state shall be given third preference.
5. Concerned states is Madhya Pradesh for WCL Pench area, WCL Kannan area and WCL Pathakhera area establishments. Concerned state is Maharashtra for other establishments.
6. The provisional selection shall be made from down the merit list prepared by each establishment based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination i.e., relevant ITI examination. Date of birth will be taken as tie breaker in case of tie on percentage of marks.
7. The older in age candidate will be placed higher in seniority in the merit list. If the tie does not break even in the manner the decision of the selection committee for breaking the tie shall be final and binding.
8. The eligible candidate shall be called for document verification at concerned establishment office.
9. The date, time and venue for document verification shall be intimated to the eligible candidates accordingly through the WCL website notice or by registered E-mail address of the candidate.
10. The candidates would be required to furnish original document and submit self- attested true copies thereof.
11. Final selection of the candidates in each seat shall be made after verification of documents. Shortlisted candidates merely attending the document verification process does not entitle selection of his candidature as Apprentice with establishment.
12. After verification of documents and obtaining medical fitness certificate, the candidates shall be selected for apprenticeship training. Apprentice engagement order shall be issued.
How to Apply :
1. Candidate should have registered first at the official portal of Trade Apprenticeship.
2. Details of Candidate should be available at the portal www.apprenticeshipindia.org.
3. Candidate's apprenticeship registration number is mandatory before filling on line application form at WCL and the profile status should be hundred percent filled.
4. Candidates should apply through official website (www.westerncoal.in) of Western Coalfields Limited for the establishment in which he/she would like to apply.
5. Before filling online application forms, candidate should have read thoroughly and carefully the Notification and prepare with the recent coloured Photograph of passport size and signature in jpg format only.
6. Candidates can apply in any one Establishment only. Applications shall not be accepted in any other mode except online application at official webportal of WCL.
7. Please note all details entered in the portal should be same as per the entry in the certificates as well as in the apprenticeship portal e.g. Name, Father's name, Aadhar Cardnumberanddetails therein as perthe certificate only There should be no mismatch in details.
8. Establishment is not responsible for any circumstance arising in apprenticeship portal. All; communication in this regards should be made with concerned RDSDE only by the candidate.
