Document Required:
Please note that you are required to possess the following documents on the date of filing the application, in support of various entries made by you in the application:
1) SSLC/10th Standard/ Matriculation certificate or Discharge Certificate issued by the Armed Forces showing your name, father’s/mother’s name, last name if any, and the Date of Birth.
2) Certificate and marks cards for educational qualifications mentioned in the application by you.
3) Certificate of Discharge issued by the Competent Authority in Army / Navy / Airforce indicating date of joining, date of discharge and rank held, along with other details (subject to clause No 1).
4) Character Certificate given by the Defence Establishment / Educational Institution / Gazetted Officer, which is not older than three months. All the above documents (as applicable) shall have to be produced in original for verification by the short listed candidates at the time of document verification.
General Instructions:
1. Applications are available on BMRCL website: www.bmrc.co.in. Candidates are required to go to BMRCL website and fill up the application online. Printout of the application form has to be signed by the applicant and submit to BMRCL without attaching any documents. For any doubts or difficulty in filling up the application online, BMRCL Help Desk may be contacted at helpdesk@bmrc.co.in. Retiring military personnel may also apply provided they expect to retire and become ex-military personnel not later than 31st December 2021. If they do not become ex-military personnel before such date, their candidature will be rejected.
2. Before applying for any post, the candidate should ensure that he/she fulfills all the eligibility norms. The candidate should have the requisite Educational /Technical qualifications as on the closing date of submission of the application. The Diploma should be from an Institute / Organization recognized by AICTE.
3. Period of Contractual Appointment: The period of contractual appointment will be for 5 yrs. The contract period may be extendable based on the performance of individual. The contract of appointment may be terminated by either side by giving 3 months’ notice or by paying the contractual remuneration of 3 months in lieu of notice period, if the circumstances so warrant.
4. Possession of Essential Educational Qualification prescribed above is must. The candidate should have scored minimum 50% marks, in the essential educational qualification prescribed. The said 50% should be computed by averaging marks of all the examinations in the entire Diploma /equivalent course i.e. total marks obtained in all examinations divided by maximum marks of all examinations.
5. In case, instead of marks, Grades have been given, the middle figure of the range that the Grade covers should be taken as marks obtained for each subject and total percentage computed as per above prescribed procedure. Eg: If Grade 'A' range is 80 - 100, middle figure : 90 should be taken as marks obtained.
6. The Engineering Diploma should be from an Institute/organisation recognised by AICTE. Candidates possessing qualification equivalent to the relevant Engineering Diploma may apply subject to the condition that they should produce documentary proof obtained from Directorate of Technical Education, Govt. of Karnataka in respect of Engineering Diploma certifying the said equivalence. Such document needs to be produced at the time of Document verification.
7. If such document is not produced at the time of document verification, the candidate shall be disqualified irrespective of his /her position in the merit list prepared on the basis of the written test.
8. The number of vacancies indicated in this Employment Notification is provisional and may increase or decrease depending upon the actual need. BMRCL also reserves the right to cancel the notified vacancies at its discretion and such decision will be final and binding on all.
9. Selection by BMRCL does not confer upon candidates any right of appointment in BMRCL.
10. Selected candidates will have to undergo training wherever required

12. Any subsequent changes in the terms and conditions of this Employment Notification as per extant rules will stand good. BMRCL reserves the right to consider/incorporate any subsequent changes/modifications/additions in the terms & conditions of recruitment under this Employment Notification necessitated and applicable.

Selection Procedure :
1. Fill the online application take print out of the application paste the latest passport size photo, sign it and send the hard copy to BMRCL addressed mentioned below. If we do not receive signed hard copy within the date prescribed, your candidature will not be considered for written test.
2. The selection will be made strictly on merit, on the basis of written examination. Short listed candidates will be called for verification of the original documents.
3. There shall be no negative marking in the written examination.
4. The syllabus for the written examination will be generally in conformity with the educational standards and/or technical qualifications prescribed for the posts. The Questions will be of objective type with multiple answers and likely to include questions pertaining to General knowledge, General English, General Arithmetic, Analytical and Quantitative Skills and those subjects covered as part of minimum educational/technical qualifications for the post. There will be only one question paper.
5. The question paper will be in English and Kannada and the duration of the examination will be about 120 minutes with approximately 100 questions.
6. The BMRCL, at its discretion may hold additional written test(s) and/or interview / skill test if considered necessary for all or for a limited number of candidates as may be deemed fit by BMRCL.
7. Hall Ticket - verification of photograph on the Hall ticket and verification of original documents, in the Examination hall BMRCL will notify the date, place and time of examination on the web site upon which, Candidates may download their Hall ticket and accordingly appear for the examination. The Hall Ticket will contain candidate’s name, date of birth and age, post applied for, date of examination and examination centre.
a) It also contains space for photograph. Please affix a latest colour passport size photograph in the space provided in the Hall ticket. The Hall ticket comes in duplicate and hence photograph will have to be fixed on both the copies. When you go to the examination centre at the appointed time, you need to carry both the Hall tickets duly affixed with photographs. You need to sign on both the copies of the Hall ticket in the space provided, in front of the invigilator and the invigilator shall also sign on both the copies.
b) You shall give one copy to the invigilator and retain the other copy for your record. You should come to the examination with your Identity Card issued by the Defence. These two are required for verification to eliminate impersonation. If these two are not produced, when asked for by the invigilator, then you will not be allowed to take the written test
8. The written test will be held in the month of January /February 2022 by the Zilla Sainik Board, Bangalore (exact date, time and venue will be given in the Hall ticket, BMRCL will intimate through E-mail, SMS and publish in the website to download the hall ticket).
9. Candidates shortlisted for the selection based on the merit in the written test will be intimated through E-mail, SMS and through publication in BMRCL Website. However, BMRCL will not be responsible for lack of communication whatsoever if any, regarding such intimation.
10. If equal marks are obtained by two or more candidates, then the age of the candidate will be taken into consideration for preparing the merit list. The elder candidate will be shown as senior in the merit list.
11. The shortlisted candidates called for Original Document Verification, if cleared in the document verification process, then candidate will be sent to Medical Fitness Test.
12. The appointment of selected candidates is subject to his/her passing requisite Medical Fitness Test to be conducted by the BMRCL, final verification of education, age, caste certificates and verification of antecedent/character of the candidate.
