a) Economist (On Regular basis) - Post Graduation degree in Economics / Econometrics (from a University/ Institution/ Board recognized by Govt. of India/ approved by Govt. regulatory Bodies) i) Candidates with specialisation in Financial Economics / Behavioural Economics will be preferred. ii) Candidates from premier Institutes / Universities such as Delhi School of Economics, Madras School of Economics, JNU, Jamia Millia Islamia University, IGIDR etc., OR from institutes of national importance as published by MHRD,Govt. of India will be preferred.

b) Statistician (On Regular basis) - Full time Master’s / Post Graduate Degree in Statistics / Applied Statistics (from a University/ Institution/ Board recognized by Govt. of India/ approved by Govt. regulatory Bodies) Candidates from premier statistical Institutes / Universities will be preferred.

c) Risk Manager (On Regular basis) - Certification in Financial Risk Management from Global Association of Risk(GARP) OR Professional Risk Management Certification from PRIMA Institute OR Holder of Chartered Financial Analyst(CFA) fromCFA Institute OR CA / ICWA OR Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) Certificate/ Diploma of Information Systems Auditor (DISA) from ICIA/ISACA

i) Sr. Manager (Network Routing & Switching Specialist) (On Contract basis) - First Division (minimum 60% marks) in BE/Tech in CSE/E&C OR MCA from recognized University/ Institute.

j) Manager (End Point Security) (On Contract basis) - First Division (Minimum 60% marks) in BE/B.Tech in CSE/E&C OR MCA from recognized University/ Institute.

k) Manager (Technology Architect) (On Contract basis) - B.E./ B.Tech./ MCA (from a recognized University/ Institution) CS/IT Engineering Graduate/ Post Graduate shall be preferred. MBA as an additional qualification is preferred. TOGAF certification preferred

l) Manager (Application Architect) (On Contract basis) - B.E./ B.Tech./ MCA (from a recognized University/ Institution) CS/IT Engineering Graduate/ Post Graduate shall be preferred. MBA as an additional qualification is preferred. TOGAF /Other EA certification preferred

4. Work Experience: 

a) Economist (On Regular basis) - 4 years of experience as an Officer in Financial Institutions / Banks / Rating Agencies / Analytics Firm /Reputed Brokerage Agencies / Corporate Organisations like CRISIL, CIBIL, ICRA etc., out of which 3 years experience in forecasting / analysing business indicators/ environmental scanning / building up of data bank /econometric models and industrial profiles.

b) Statistician (On Regular basis) - 

i) 4 years of experience as an Officer in Financial Institutions / Banks / Rating Agencies / Analytics Firm / Reputed Brokerage Agencies / Corporate Organisations like CRISIL, CIBIL, ICRA etc., out of which 3 years experience in the relevant field.

ii) Candidates having adequate experience in handling large volume of data, application of statistical techniquesand tools, drawing inference from the behaviour of data, forecasting, modelling, calibration, and validation, submission of various reports to Top Management basedon the analysis etc., knowledge of various statistical packages such as SAS/ SPSS/ MATLAB, etc. is preferable.

c) Risk Manager (On Regular basis) - 3 years of experience as an Officer in Financial Institutions /Banks / Rating Agencies / Analytics Firm / Reputed Brokerage Agencies / Corporate Organisations like CRISIL, CIBIL, ICRA etc., out of which 2 years experience in risk functions.

d) Credit Analyst (On Regular basis) - 10 years of experience as an Officer in NBFC / Financial Institution having business mix of 1000 crores & above as on31.03.2021 out of which 5 years experience in credit processing/credit appraisal / assessment / credit rating /balance sheet analysis / credit monitoring.

e) Credit Officers (On Regular basis) - NIL

f) Manager IT (On Contract basis) - Minimum 7 years of experience. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Financial sector/ Bank/ NBFC/ Insurance/ Investment firms.

g) Senior Manager (On contract basis) - Minimum 8 years of experience. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Financial sector/ Bank/ NBFC/ Insurance/ Investment firms.

h) Manager-IT (Data Centre) (On Contract basis) - Minimum 7 Years' of hands-on experience in Application development (coding, testing and maintenance of application/software) with at least 2 year experience in handling digital channels (Internet Banking/Mobile Banking/UPI) for any reputed organization preferably Banking or IT Sector or FinTech company.

i) Senior ManagerIT (Data Centre) (On Contract basis) - Minimum 8 Years' of hands-on experience in Application development (coding, testing and maintenance of application/software) with at least 3 year experience in handling digital channels (Internet Banking/Mobile Banking/UPI) for any reputed organization preferably Banking or IT Sector or FinTech company.

j) Sr. Manager (Network Security) (On Contract basis) - Minimum 8 Years' of hands-on experience in managing network of any reputed organization (Preferably Banking or IT Sector) with at least 3 years : a. as a Level-3 resource in an organization in the business of providing Network Services, OR b. as TAC resource in an OEM (in the field of network security devices such as firewall, IPS etc.) OR c. Experience in managing network security for any organization in BFSI sector.

k) Sr. Manager (Network Routing & Switching Specialist) (On Contract basis) - Minimum 8 Years' of hands-on experience in managing network of any reputed organization (Preferably Banking or IT Sector) with at least 3 years a. as a Level-3 resource in an organization in the business of providing Network Services, OR b. As TAC resource in an OEM (in the field of network security devices such as Routers/Switches) OR c. Experience in managing network for any organization in BFSI sector.

l) Manager (Data Centre)- Cloud Virtualization (On contract basis) - Minimum 7 Years' of hands-on experience in managing dense virtualization environment in any reputed organisation (Preferably Banking or IT Sector) with at least 3 years a. Level-3 resource in an organisation in the business of providing System AdministrationVmware-Vcenter, OR b. As TAC resource in an OEM (in the field of Vmware,Vcenter)

5. Scale of Pay:

6. Emoluments for contractual positions (in Rs.)

a) MMGS-II A consolidated pay of Rs.1,75,000/- per month shall be paid to the incumbent, subject to deduction of taxes as applicable

b) MMGS-III A consolidated pay of Rs.2,18,000/- per month shall be paid to the incumbent, subject to deduction of taxes as applicable.

Document Required:

List of Documents to be produced at the time of interview (as applicable) The following documents in original together with a self-attested photocopies in support of the Candidate’s eligibility and identity are to be invariably submitted at the time of interview failing which the candidate may not be permitted to appear for the interview :

(i) Printout of the valid Interview Call Letter

(ii) Valid system generated printout of the online application form

(iii) Proof of Date of Birth (Birth Certificate or SSLC/ Std. X Certificate with DOB)

(iv) Photo Identify Proof as indicated in para “IDENTITY VERIFICATION”

(v) Mark sheets & certificates for educational qualifications. Proper document from Board /University for having declared the result on or before 01.12.2021 has to be submitted.( 31.03.2022 in case of Credit Officers)

(vi) Caste Certificate issued by competent authority in the prescribed format as stipulated by Government of India in case of SC / ST / OBC category candidates. In case of candidates belonging to OBC category, certificate should specifically contain a clause that the candidate does not belong to creamy layer section excluded from the benefits of reservation for Other Backward Classes in Civil post & services under Government of India.

1. OBC caste certificate containing the ‘Non-creamy layer’ clause should be issued during the period 01.04.2021 to 31.03.2022. Caste Name mentioned in certificate should tally letter by letter with Central Government list / notification. Candidates belonging to OBC category but coming under creamy layer are not entitled to OBC reservation. They should indicate their category as General in the online application form.

(vii) Income and Asset Certificate issued by any one of the Authorities as notified by the Government of India in the prescribed format in case of EWS category candidates.

(viii) Disability Certificate in prescribed format in case of PWD category. If the candidate desires to use the services of a Scribe at the time of online examination the duly filled in Bio data of the scribe in the prescribed format is to be submitted.

(ix) An Ex-serviceman candidate has to produce a copy of the Service or Discharge Book / pension payment order and documentary proof of rank last / presently held (substantive as well as acting) at the time of interview. Those who are still in defence service should submit a certificate from a competent authority that they will be relieved from defence services, on or before 09.05.2023.

(x) Candidates serving in Government / quasi Govt. offices/ Public Sector Undertakings (including Nationalised Banks and Financial Institutions) are required to produce a “No Objection certificate” from their employer at the time of interview, in the absence of which their candidature will not be considered and travelling expenses, if any, otherwise admissible, will not be paid.

(xi) Persons eligible for age relaxation under B III (5) must produce a certificate from the District Magistrate to the effect that they are eligible for relief in terms of the Rehabilitation Package for 1984 Riot Affected Persons sanctioned by the Government and communicated vide Ministry of Finance, Dept. of Financial Services communication No.F.No.9/21/2006-IR dated 27.07.2007.

(xii) Experience certificates, as applicable.

(xiii) Persons falling in categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) of Point B (I) should produce a certificate of eligibility issued by the Govt. Of India

(xiv) Any other relevant documents in support of eligibility

General Instructions:

(1) Candidates will have to invariably produce and submit the requisite documents such as valid call letter, a photocopy of photo-identity proof bearing the same name as it appears on the online submitted application form etc. at the time of examination and interview respectively.

(2) Before applying for the mentioned posts, the candidate should ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility and other norms mentioned in this advertisement. Candidates are therefore to carefully read this advertisement and follow all the instructions given for submitting online application. It is the primary responsibility of the candidate to ensure that he/she belongs to the Caste/Tribe as mentioned by him/her in online application.

(3) A Candidate’s admission to the examination/ shortlisting for interview and/ subsequent process is strictly provisional. The mere fact that the call letter(s) has been issued to the candidate does not imply that his/ her candidature has been finally cleared by Bank.

a) Bank would be free to reject any application, at any stage of the process, cancel the candidature of the candidate in case it is detected at any stage that a candidate does not fulfil the eligibility norms and/or that he/she has furnished any incorrect/false information/certificate/documents or has suppressed any material fact(s).


b) If candidature of any candidate is rejected for any reasons according to the terms and conditions of this advertisement, no further representation in this regard will be entertained. If any of these shortcomings is/are detected after appointment his/her services are liable to be summarily terminated.

(4) Decision of Bank in all matters relating to selection process will be final and binding on the candidate. No correspondence or personal enquiries shall be entertained by the Bank in this behalf.

(5) Not more than one application should be submitted by any candidate. In case of multiple Applications only the latest valid (completed) application will be retained and the application fee/ intimation charges paid for the other multiple registration(s) will stand forfeited.

a) The scribe arranged by the candidate should not be a candidate for the examination. If violation of the above is detected at any stage of the process, candidature of both the candidate and the scribe will be cancelled. Multiple attendance/ appearances in the online examination and/or interview will be summarily rejected/ candidature cancelled.

(6) Online applications once registered will not be allowed to be withdrawn and/or the application fee/ intimation charges once paid will not be refunded nor be held in reserve for any other examination.

(7) Any resulting dispute arising out of this advertisement including the recruitment process shall be subject to the sole jurisdiction of the Courts situated at Mumbai.

(8) Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.

(9) No request for change of address, or changes in any other details mentioned in the online application form will be entertained.

(10) In case any dispute arises on account of interpretation of clauses in any version of this advertisement other than English, the English version available on Banks website shall prevail. 

(11) A candidate should ensure that the signatures appended by him/her in all the places viz. in his/her call letter, attendance sheet etc. and in all correspondences with the Bank in future should be identical and there should be no variation of any kind. Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS will not be acceptable.

(12) A recent, recognizable photograph should be uploaded by the candidate in the online application form and the candidate should ensure that copies of the same are retained for use at various stages of the process. Candidates are also advised not to change their appearance till the process is completed. Failure to produce the same photograph at various stages of the process/ doubt about identity at any stage could lead to disqualification.

(13) The possibility of occurrence of some problem in the administration of the examination cannot be ruled out completely which may impact test delivery and/or result from being generated. In that event, every effort will be made to rectify such problem, which may include movement of candidates, delay in test. Conduct of a re-exam is at the absolute discretion of Bank. Candidates will not have any claim for a re-test. Candidates not willing to move or not willing to participate in the delayed process of test delivery shall be summarily rejected from the process.

(14) Candidates will have to appear for the interview at their own expense. However, eligible outstation SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disabilities category candidates called for interview will be paid IInd class to & fro railway/ bus fare or actual expenses incurred, whichever is less, by shortest route on production of proof of travel (rail/ bus ticket etc.).

a) The above concession will not be admissible to SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disabilities category candidates who are already in service in Central / State Government, Corporations, Public Undertakings / Local Government, Institutions and Panchayats etc.

(15) Bank shall not be responsible for any application made/ wrong information provided by an unauthorized person / institution. Candidates are advised not to share their application details with anyone.

Selection Process

Selection will be through online test and/or GD and/or personal interview, depending on the number of applicants/eligible candidates.

I. ONLINE EXAMINATION : The structure of online examination. Bank reserves the right to modify the structure of the examination which will be intimated through its authorised website. Other detailed information regarding the examination will be given in an Information Handout, which will be made available for the candidates to download along with the call letters from the authorised website www.bankofindia.co.in

1. The above tests except the Test of English Language will be available bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi. The test of English Language will be of qualifying nature i.e. Marks obtained in English Language will not be added while preparing merit List.'

2. Qualifying marks stipulated above are for General/EWS Category candidates. Candidates belonging to the Category SC/ST/OBC/PWD, filling in vacancies reserved for the relevant category, will be entitled to a relaxation of 5% marks in relation to that stipulated for General/EWS category candidates

II. INTERVIEW : Merit list of the candidates based on the marks obtained by them in online examination (marks obtained in General Awareness with special reference to Banking Industry and Professional Knowledge paper) will be prepared in descending order for the respective categories i.e. SC/ST/OBC/EWS/GEN.

1. Candidates securing the minimum qualifying marks stipulated for Online Tests and ranking sufficiently high in the order of merit shall be called for Personal interview and/or GD. Mere passing in the Online Test shall not vest any right to a candidate for being called for Personal Interview/GD. In case of equal marks by two or more candidates, the merit order of such group of candidates will be on the basis of Date of Birth i.e. Candidate senior in age will be placed higher in the merit List.

2. The Bank may conduct the selection process only on the basis of Interview/GD without holding online test. Accordingly, if online examination is not conducted, adequate number of candidates as decided by the Bank will be shortlisted for the interview based on their qualification, experience, and overall suitability for the post.

3. The total marks allotted for Interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks for the General/EWS category candidates will be 40% and for SC/ST/OBC/PWD is 35%. The candidates called for the interview will be at the ratio of 3:1 to the number of vacancies. However, Bank may increase the said ratio at its discretion.

III. If Online Examination and Interview is conducted Selection will be through online test and/or personal interview/GD, depending on the number of applicants/eligible candidates. In case online test is conducted, the weightage (ratio) of Online Examination and interview will be 80:20.

1. The combined final scores of candidates shall be arrived at on the basis of total scores obtained by the candidates in Online Examination (marks obtained in General Awareness with special reference to Banking Industry and Professional Knowledge paper) and Interview. A candidate should be found suitable both in the Online Examination and interview to be eligible for final selection.

2. Merit list of the candidates based on the marks obtained by them in Online Examination and Personal Interview will be prepared in descending order for the respective categories i.e. SC/ST/OBC/EWS/GEN. The final selection will be made on the basis of this merit list upto the number of vacancies.

IV. 1. If both Group Discussion and Interview is conducted : Maximum Marks for Group Discussion will be 30 and minimum qualifying marks will be 40% for General and 35% for SC/ST/OBC category (out of 30 marks). Only those candidates who have secured minimum qualifying marks in Group Discussion shall be called for Personal Interview. Mere participation in Group Discussion shall not vest any right in a candidate for being called for Personal Interview.

2. Group Discussion will be of qualifying nature only i.e. Marks obtained in Group Discussions will not be added while preparing merit List. In case of equal marks obtained by two or more candidates, the merit order of such group of candidates will be on the basis of marks obtained in Online examination i.e. candidate securing higher marks in Online exam will be placed higher in the merit list. If the marks obtained in the online exam is also equal or online examination is not conducted, the merit order will be on the basis of Date of Birth i.e. Candidate senior in age will be placed higher in the merit List.

How to Apply

1. Important Date :

2. Candidates are required to go to the Bank’s website www.bankofindia.co.in and click on the ‘CAREER’ and then click on the link “Recruitment of Officers in various streams upto Scale IV- Project No. 2021-22/3 Notice dated 01.12.2021”. This will open a new window. In this window click on “APPLY ONLINE”

(i) Option “APPLY ONLINE” which will open a new screen.

(ii) To register application, choose the tab “Click here for New Registration” and enter Name, Contact details and Email-id. A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Candidate should note down the Provisional Registration Number and Password. An Email & SMS indicating the Provisional Registration number and Password will also be sent.

(iii) In case the candidate is unable to complete the application form in one go, he / she can save the data already entered by choosing “SAVE AND NEXT” tab. Prior to submission of the online application candidates are advised to use the “SAVE AND NEXT” facility to verify the details in the online application form and modify the same if required. Visually Impaired candidates should fill the application form carefully and verify/ get the details verified to ensure that the same are correct prior to final submission.

(iv) Candidates are advised to carefully fill and verify the details filled in the online application themselves as no change will be possible/ entertained after clicking the FINAL SUBMIT BUTTON.

(v) The Name of the candidate or his /her Father/ Husband etc. should be spelt correctly in the application as it appears in the Certificates/ Mark sheets. Any change/alteration found may disqualify the candidature.

(vi) Validate your details and Save your application by clicking the ‘Validate your details’ and ‘Save & Next’ button.

(vii) Candidates can proceed to upload Photo & Signature as per the specifications given in the Guidelines for Scanning and Upload of Photograph and Signature detailed under point “C”.

(viii) Candidates can proceed to fill other details of the Application Form. (ix) Click on the Preview Tab to preview and verify the entire application form before FINAL SUBMIT.

(x) Modify details, if required, and click on ‘FINAL SUBMIT’ ONLY after verifying and ensuring that the photograph, signature uploaded and other details filled by you are correct.

(xi) Click on ‘Payment’ Tab and proceed for payment.
