4. Qualifications (As prescribed by the AICTE) for Post: B.E./B.Tech/B.S. and M.E./M.Tech./M.S. or Integrated M. Tech. in relevant branch with first class or equivalent in any one of the degrees.
i. Safety:
a. B.Tech/B.E. in Safety and Fire Engineering and M. Tech/ M.E. in Industrial Safety with first class or equivalent either in B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech.
b. Desirable: Two years experience in Industry, Research organization or teaching at UG/PG level in Safety and Fire Engineering.
ii. Mechanical Engineering:
a. B. Tech/ B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and M.Tech/M.E. in Mechanical Engineering/ Industrial Safety with first class or equivalent either in B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech
b. Desirable: (I) A Government approved Diploma in Industrial Safety. (II) Two years experience in Industry, Research Organization or teaching at UG/PG level in Safety and Fire Engineering
iii. Civil Engineering:
a. B. Tech/ B.E. in Civil Engineering or equivalent and M.Tech/M.E. in Civil Engineering/ Industrial Safety with first class or equivalent either in B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech
b. Desirable: (I) A Government approved Diploma in Industrial Safety. (II) Two years experience in Industry, Research Organization or teaching at UG/PG level in Safety and Fire Engineering
iv. Chemical Engineering:
a. B.Tech/B.E. in Chemical Engineering or equivalent and M.Tech/M.E. in Chemical Engineering/ Industrial Safety with first class or equivalent either in B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech
b. Desirable: (I) A Government approved Diploma in Industrial Safety. (II) Two years experience in Industry, Research Organization or teaching at UG/PG level in Safety and Fire Engineering
v. Electrical Engineering:
a. B. Tech/ B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or equivalent and M.Tech/M.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering/ Industrial Safety with first class or equivalent either in B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech.
b. Desirable: (I) A Government approved Diploma in Industrial Safety. (III) Two years experience in Industry, Research Organization or teaching at UG/PG level in Safe and Fire Engineering
5. Consolidated Monthly Salary: 40,000/- per month for M.E/M.Tech holders and 42,000/- per month for Ph.D holders.

Other conditions:
The faculty on contract basis in SOE & CUCEK wåll be engaged from July to April with breaks during vacations months of May-June. The faculty on contract basis in KMSME will be engaged for the whole year with no vacation. The initial period of appointment is for one year which may be extended upto 2 years. Reservation Rules are applicable for the appointments to the above posts.
