2. Essential Qualification: Degree from a recognized university. Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism with a duration of at least one year from a recognized university/institution or 5‐year experience in business news reading/ anchoring in electronic media. Proficiency in the language for which to be empanelled. Having a voice of good quality suited to broadcasting. Good knowledge of basic computer applications.

1. Name of the Post: Graphic Designer

2. Essential Qualification: Graduate from a recognized university. Degree /Diploma in Graphics field. Expertise in software like Adobe After effect, Adobe illustrator , Adobe Photoshop, 3D Max etc, Video Editing software like Final Cut Pro, Multilayered linear Audio /Video System.

Terms and Conditions:

1. The applicant may note that working on casual assignment basis for NSD:AIR will not confer any right for regularization of services in this organization. The booking will be offered from time to time on the basis of the requirements of the organization and will not normally exceed six days in a month. The candidates are required to deposit application processing fee (non-refundable) at the following rates, along with the applications, through Bank Draft payable in favour of PB: DG (News), NSD, AIR, New Delhi.

2. Candidates working in Govt/Autonomous bodies should obtain a ‘No Objection Certificate’ from their respective employers.

3. Applications received after the prescribed date and time will not be considered. For any late receipt or non-receipt of the applications, this Division shall not be held responsible and no further correspondence in this regard shall be entertained.

4. The list of eligible candidates will be put on website newsonair.gov.in & prasarbharati.gov.in. The exact time, date & venue etc. for the written examination will be put on website. All the applicants are requested to constantly check the website on regular basis after the closing date for the submission of the application. No call letter will be delivered to candidates for the written examination and interview

5. The results of the written test in respect of the qualifying candidates as well as the date of interview will be put on the website. The final results will also be available on website newsonair.gov.in & prasarbharati.gov.in.

6. The applicants are required to submit their applications in the prescribed format given in the advertisement only.

7. The applicant may please note that the written & Interview will be held in Delhi. No TA/DA will be admissible to the candidates attending the written test/interview etc.

8. Candidates who wish to apply for more than one category should apply separately and pay the fee for each category.

9. Candidates must mention the post applied for on the prescribed proforma.

Selection Process

1. Method of Selection for News Editors (English & Hindi), News Editors (Business), Web Editors (English & Hindi), Graphic Designers and Reporters:

a) The Selection procedure comprises two stages (1) written test (2) interview. Each test carries 100 marks. The written test will seek to assess their journalistic and professional capability as well as knowledge of the concerned language.

b) The qualifying marks in the written test will be 50. Those qualifying in written test will be interviewed to assess their over all personality and suitability for radio news by the Selection Committee. The Selection Committee will recommend candidates securing 50 marks or above in the interview for empanelment, the approval of which will be given by Head of Office Principal Director General for empanelment.

2. Method of Selection for Newsreader, Newsreader-cum-translators, English Anchors & Hindi Anchors (Business):

a) The Selection procedure comprises two stages (1) written test (2) voice test & interview to assess the professional competence and knowledge of the candidate in concerned language. Each test carries 100 marks. The written test will seek to assess their journalistic and professional capability as well as knowledge of the concerned language.

b) The qualifying marks in the written test will be 50. Candidates securing marks 50 and above in the written examination will be called for Voice test to assess voice quality, Modulation, Diction, Pronunciation, Accent. Voice test may be followed by interview to assess the suitability of the candidate for radio news by the Selection Committee. The Selection Committee will recommend candidates securing 50 marks or above in the Voice test & interview, the approval of which will be given by Head of Office Principal Director General (News) for empanelment.

How to Apply

The date of receipt of application has now been extended upto 8th April, 2022. The other terms and conditions shall remain the same.
