Qualification Details:

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) a Maharatna Company plans to engago Fixed Term Research Associates FRA) at its HP Green R & D Centre, Bengaluru to assist in various research projects of thc corporation.

1. To prepare ptoject proposal includiog work plan on the  specific research topic assigned to the candidate,

2. To carry out research activities on the specific topic including literature search. set up experimtental facilities, if required, carry out experimental/ pilot/ simulation studies.

3. Interpretresutlsandundertakestudiesforfurtherdeveiopment/improvernent,

4. Prepare technical reports.

5. Carry out anyolher activities that are assigned from time to time.

Educational Qualification: 

1. Ph.D. Chemistry: Ph.D. in Polymers/Polyolefin/Petrochemicals: Candidate with research experience in the polymer synlhegis and characterization, particularly potyelefin or specialty polymers are desirable. • Candidates wilh experience in polymer catalyst such as Ziegler typo catalyst are desirabto,

2. Ph.D. in Battery Research: Candidate with research experience in the areas or energy storage. Metal Ion batteries. metal air batteries. flow cells. fuel colts are desirable.

3. Ph.D. in Mombrane Separation and Adsorptive Separation: Candidates With research experience in the area or polymer membranes. mixed matrix membranes, membrane separation processes gor gas separation, liquid water desalination are dwtable. Candidates with research experience in the area of adsorbent material development and gas and liquid separation process particulany hydrocarbon mixture separation are desirable,

4. Ph-D. in Catalysis: Candidates wilh research experience in the area of heterogeneous catalysis, particularly hydrocarbon transformations are preferable. Candidates with experience in the development of catalytic materials are also desirable.

5. Ph.D. in Materlals/Nano,materials:  Candidates with experience in development of O) inorganic porous materials such as MOFs, zeolites, etc.. (ii) nanomaterials such as carbon nanotubes, graphene and their industrial applications. such as polymer cornpcsites (iii) thermic fluids, particularly phase change materials are preferred-

6. Ph.D. in Analytical and Organic Chemistry: Candidates with hands on experience in advanced analytical techniques such as XRO. XPS, XRF, mass spectroscopy. electron microscopy, thermal analysis are desirable. Candidates

with experience in synthetiz organic chemistry and good exposure with advanced anatytical techniques are desirable.

7. Ph.D. in Metallurgy with Specialization in Corrosion Studies. Candidates with research experience in new products fet corrosion mitigation, protocol fet oxperitnenlation etc, are desirable. Candidates with research experience in microbial bioprocesses Wilh experience working on "'Oast or baclcrial molecular biology bo preferred, In addition, candidates with research oxporiettce of working on bio-roels such as 2G Ethanol and Algal Biofuels are desirable.

a) Phd, in Chomical engineering; preferable in following areas:  a. Separation Processes(Ad$0fption/Extraction/Absorption/Membraoes} b. 4. M.Tech

a. Chemical Engineering /Metaiiurgy with specialization in corrosion studies. Candidates with experience in Corrosion lab facilities in Industry are desirable.

b. Mechanical Engineering: Candidates with experience in Battery Management Systems,rrnbology are desirable,

c, Combustion & Emission Engineering/ Automobile Engineering Candidates with experience in Engine Lab facilities Wilh test benches in industry are desirable.

d. Thermal Engineering: Candidates with experience in Solar thermal, Thermal Management System are desirable, Thermic fluids, Phase change materials are desirable, Minimum 1-year post M Tech relevant work experience (as on 01.10. 2020) is required. Preferably in aroag as mentioned abovo in Oil and Gas industries.

Stipend: An all-inclusive stipend ofRs. 6S.0C0f-to Rs- 8S.000f- per month

Duration of Assignment: The engagement is initially for a period of one year. which may be extended by one more year ata time, based on the project requirement and performance of the candidate subject toa maximum of4 years.

Age: 32 Years or below as on 20.10.2020
